hmm...sorry bout that.

Anyway, i am @dabbling in carbines with my remaining 33 skill points, because i love my krayt carbine so much.

With the un-nerf coming up it also seems like an ideal time to drop novice medic and get some of your love. Anyway my question is basically would you recommed going 0304 or 0034?

Is burstshot2 more damaging than cripple shot? Are the counterattack mods worthwhile, or is the extra accuracy a killer?

I'd appreciate any info from you have from your experience.

Thanks.

Un-nerf would mean we were nerfed, which is incorrect. Carbineer has been horribly broken since Day 1, no nerf necessary.

Don't bother with ChargeShot2, it won't be fixed IMO. You have FireKD so why bother with that whole tree?

They may change BurstShot2 damage multiplier but I can't imagine it getting higher, lower maybe. So I would pick both BurstShot2 and CripplingShot and leave ChargeShot alone until we see what happens in the Combat Revamp.

The reason i want at least 0003 is the autoarea2 area dizzy shot. I will take your advice for the time being and not get chargeshot2.

I guess a lot of what we see can not be fully judged until the mythical combat balance.

0403willgive you ourAoE Dizzy, Hgh accuracy mods, and CrippleShot. If speed isnt a factor go with that.

4003 will give you insane speeds mods, and an AoE Dizzy, only problem then is no really High Damage Special, unless you count ScatterShot2, which has a damage mult around 7x, which is almost as much as Crippleshot, but with ScatterShot2 the damage is divided amoung three pools, not always equal though, but i find a majority of time i land 2-3 hits on the mind pool, which is nice since mind damage works wonders in PvP

FullAutoArea1 give AoE Dizzy at 0001.

In general you will never see a BH go up Assault Tactics for Speed since they get +85 anyways, compared to our +60 Oh wait, I have +85 and NO BH Gotta love skill attachments.

I'm trying to make the same decision as the original poster.

Is Counterattack worth the points?

i dont think counterattack is worth it. Stack on accuracy.

Thanks. I think I'm going to go 0/4/0/3 then or if CS2 becomes AoE KD then I will go 0/3/0/4.

Hey All...

Question for the Carbine experts. I am a MBH with a new set of free skill points. Let me preface by saying that I'm not going to give up MBH (stubborn and optimistic it will get fixed, plus I like the roleplaying) and I will not go FOM Melee combo. That temploit is not going to last, IMO. If it does, it's not for me. So....

I'm planning on dabbling in both Carbine and Pistol. My first question involves the Counter Insurgency Tactics. I have three skill boxes in this line. Is the fourth box worth it for a dabbler. Meaning: does the extra +20 counter attack make any difference against High Level players? And, more importantly, is Supression Fire 2 effective? If so, it would come in handy after a dizzy state from the carbine skill tree in the BH line.

Also, what are the maxed out stats for speed and accuracy? Is it better to dabble in speed and accuracy boxes, rather than defense boxes? With BH I have an accuracy of 122. Is that enough, or is more better?

Thanks

Any information or insight is greatly appreciated.

AFAIK speed and accurcy doesn't have a roof, so the more the merrier.

You probably want accurcy because you have plenty of speed already from the BH tree.

Our counterattack does not happen as often as it should. I would not waste the SP on it now. I would consider some carb accuracy while moving though.

As for suppression fire 2. I rarely use this shot. I find myself using action shot 2 to try a posture change.

Speed: there is absoultely no need to go above +100 speed in ANY weapon. For carbines. +90 speed will let you shoot any of our specials at the speed cap with a gun at least as fast as 4.0s.

Accuracy: get all that you can. There is no cap.

Yes, more speed wont help a whole lot, but you can never have too much accuracy! Also if you get x3xx you will recieve crippling shot, which is very damaging and useful If you did pick up the counter insurgency line you could get burst2 which is a nice area attack. Definatly something to consider.
