Carbineer/swordsman, with medic and explore 4(eh, whatever). I've been trying it out in Anchorhead PvP and it works like a charm(i'm imperial)
Buffs and CoB and If i get a range user he can't touch me. For rifleman/fencers I have stun armor, brandy, canape, and Zabrak equilibirum. If the rebels declare im sitting next to the recruiter with my scythe, grinning like a kiddie with $20in a toy store. If they try to escape the awesome power of much-needed-nerfage melee, I just open up on em with my laser, finish with scatter shot 2 what HeadHit3 didn't. The couter-attack actually really helps. I duel with a master fencer and we hit eachother at about the same rate. Plus the defense mods stack, and having intimidation as a carbineer helps put Full auto through defenses, of course any melee/carb can do that. Its also a godly PvE combo. Carbineer already does well in Mid-High level PvE)scratch Nightsisters), and adding 2 extra damage types=good, very good. I'm told master swordsmen can solo krayts but i have yet to see that kind of power, but who knows.
