I just started carbine and i was wondering what the best carbiner weapon was once i reached novice carbiner

The simple answer to this question... (by simple I mean best all around every situation choice)
is the Laser Carbine.

I personally go for my trusty DXR6... but I would suggest reading the FAQ to get the facts

I'd carry around both. Some monsters have lower resists to acid, some lower to energy. Energy is more commonly resisted, but the Laser carb has AP2 vs the AP1 of the DXR-6...You do the math.

Depends, if you know your target is a fencer or swordsman or pikeman or the likes-the Laser Carbine will work well due to their lack of ranged mitigation otherwise stick with a decent DXR6 or Elite (or E11 if it's good) which has a higher min damage. Laser carbine screws you over if you're fighting a rifleman.

Well this is an EASY question to answer... The Laser, the DXR6, the Elite, the EE3, the DH17 Snubnose, and the Enhanced E11. Oh, wait... did you ask for just one? You might want to go read the FAQ.

Well this is a silly question. The best weapon of a Carbineer is his head and using common sense! A thinking Carbineer is a dangerous Carbineer. pH34r

Would be nice to shoot at 1 second spamming aDvANC3d sTr/-\F3 4 teh pve w1n using a AP3 T21 tho heh. Ok maybe not. Rifleman bores me, and my lewt sp34k sux. Carry on with the post.

This is nothing but a rant. I expect no fixes. Sometimes I just need to vent.
So I'm reading through the posts and see one about an Elite and it gets me thinking.... The DH17 and E11 are the best wepons for leveling and are nice for fighting unbuffed. The EE3 deals heat so it's the best for spicific situations. The DXR6 deals acid and is the best PVP wepon we have for opponents with ranged mitigation. The Laser is the king of general PVE and PVP vs no ranged mitigation. The Elite....? Why does this wepon even exist. I never use it. It gives me nothing that is not already covered by another wepon yet it is the last wepon you get certified in. I'm not asking for a new damage type or more ap or anything really. I'm just wondering why? What is the logic that went into this wepons design? Is there some rare senario where the Elite is the go to gun? If this is how it's supposed to be then wouldn't it make sence that you would certify in the Elite before the Laser and DXR6?
Anyways, sorry to waste your time. Let this die and soon it will be back on page 2. I love being a carbineer and enjoy the game and this forum very much. Thanks for letting me vent

You are very right Doq....before PSG's were fixed the Elite had a use....but for 10 of the past 13 months it hasn't been worth a sh!t and is our top cert'd craftable weapon....
