Thread: Full Auto Area 2 vs Burst Shot 2

I am a Mater Carbineer/Master Bounty Hunter. I've seen on the Carbineer forums all carbineers saying how great FAA2 is and not even saying a thing about BS2. In my experiances I've seen BS2 work better (faster, more damage, kill large groups faster) than FAA2. Am I crazy? Is FAA2 better than BS2 and I'm not seeing it or giving it a chance?

BurstShot2 is a raw cone damage special. Low HAM cost and no state effects are applied. Its the one you fall back on when the buffs start to fail.
FullAutoArea2 does have a higher damage per second output too.

Looks like we have a couple people here that need to Read the FAQ....
FAA2 and BS2 are the exact same speed.....FAA2 has 4.5X damage and BS2 has 6.0X damage.....FAA2 can apply Blind/Dizzy/Stun as well.
If you read my posts, you will find me talking about BOTH.....it is no different than using FullAutoSingle2 to apply States and then CripplingShot or ScatterShot2 to deal the damage for the kill.....FAA2 and BS2 are just the multi-target versions.
As recently as yesterday I discussed a person going 0404 Carbineer with FAA2 being better IF you can only use one, since it applied States.

burst2 does some serious damage. nothing like rounding up about 30 stormtroopers, then running away and killing them all in the cone.
