Help me here you carb experts.. I am tired of losing in PvP. Do we have a mind attack?
Where is the best reference on PvP use of carbineer? I keep getting slaughtered.. I want to get better.
Is there a good macro, attack sequence, gun combo? I use sub 2.0 elite carbine and laser carbines.
Thanks

Point your weapon at yourself and you might end up doing more damage to the enemy

We have Scatter Shot 2, which can hit health, action, and mind simultaneously.
I think the PvP guide is on the second page of the Carbineerforums (duh).I hope they sticky it so it's easier to find
Your attack sequence depends on what your template is: If you have BH Carbines, start out by using Confusion Shot until both Stun and Dizzy have landed on your target. Once they stick, use Charge Shot 1 to KD them. If that doens't work, try Suppression Fire 1 or Action Shot 2 (it's a posture change). Once they're on their backs, either use Scatter Shot2 or Crippling Shot.
Try picking up a Krayt DXR6, or maybe a Nym's Slugthrowerfor added help.
.......and that's all I can think of

Hey, I thought of some more stuff!
More attack sequences, and an attack sequence for non-BH Carbines
Non-BH Carbines: Use either of the Full Auto attacks to land dizzy, stun, and blind on your target. Use the afore mentioned process to KD your opponent.
BH Carbines: If you start fighting a melee person, don't bother using Confusion Shot + Charge Shot 1, just start spamming Fire KD. Most of the time, they'll be rushing towards you, and you can't chance trying to apply a state, then try and land a posture change / knockdown. Once they're on their backs, decide what you want to do from there.

uh, I keep winning duels, usually losing 1 or 2 out of 10 duels, TKMs, Fencers, Riflemen whatever... go drop master carbines, try this:
BH 0440
Rifleman 0004 (combat xp)
CArbineer 3440
Pistoleer 0044
and 10 skill points spare.
take a nice damage sliced dxr6 and go eat some FOTMers for breakfast.
oh btw, don't stand still waiting to get beaten, we god high accuracy penalty at point blank, get in range, use terrain, buildings, spice/food if needed.
plus you get a pistol mind attack this way, just in case.
decent melee defense, 65 vs KD etc.. etc...
seriously, I can beat most of duelist with that template and abit of tactic, no need to target mind at all, when u can do up to 700 pvp damage per second to health pool.

oh and about the macro, use those ones to KD
/ui action clearCombatQueue
/confusionShot
/actionshot2 (posture down)
or/and
/ui action clearCombatQueue
/confusionShot
/fireknockdown
there's no macro that can help you win a fight, cause a fight is action/reaction process.
don't do like most duelist that stand stills, move and use the terrain at your advantage and get in ideal range as often as you can.
out of all the duels, got beaten twice or 3 times by full melee templates, and those were awesome fighters.
you can have the "best" template out there and still lose if you don't play it the right way, ranged fighters are not meant to fight at melee range, those who call you "cheater" or whatever cause you run are losers.

All very good advice so far.....
The problem you have is that your template is easily beaten, even with the above advice. A Carbineer/Smuggler combination is just worthless with either weapon you pull. Either go carbines or pistols (both with YamadaMan's template is very nice). Then decide to go all offense with BH or pickup Fencer for defense....you must do one or the other to win in duels or group PvP.
A "regular" template just can't compete because 99% of the PvP'ers have a FotM template.....which Carbineer can beat but it takes a lot of MIND and MONEY

Come on now. I have beaten FOTM's with off the shelf carbines. Of course I buy my carbines by the crate and choose the highest damage slice. Having that BH speed sure helps out.

MCarbs+MBH+32% Damage Sliced DRX-6 = A hell of a lot of accurate damaging (and cool) shots.
It's Lots of fun. Spamming Crippleshot or Scatter2 at someone doing the fishy flop is soooooo funny.

Agree. MIND and MONEY go a long way to winning with carbines.......then you usualy get accused of cheating when you win......

It's my opinion that BH/Mcarbine is prob one of the better proffesions in the game. Despite alot of gripping I hear PvP is great, especialy with a high dmg laser carbine
and with those extra points u can master BH and dable in pistol defenses!

yup, as said, after trying FOTM templates, stacking and basically all combat profs in the game (not for holos, I played ALL of em) over my alts and main, I can say that my current template mixing carbines/pistol/bh is the best I've tried in 1vs1, fighting a TKM or Fencer or both with brawler with that template is like using some high tech insect bomb to kill 1 fly. all of that without a single master, u can start a new character, get the template with no badge then people will be like "wow".
and btw yes, winning a duel with a carbine means you get called "cheater" 100% true
