Well, I decided to follow the trend and make a carbineer/BH. I'll probably master both because dabbling really isn't my thing. So far I have novice carbineer and BH 0101. I'll give progress reportsas it goes.

P.S. /sarcasm on___ Does anyone know any macro I can use so I don't have to work at mastering the professions, I can just be lazy and let the XP rack up while I go watch TV?___ /sarcasm off

This is what I have done, and I greatly enjoy it, just dont plan on tanking anything! I think more master BH's have headed this way than people think, Iknow I have seenmany more master carbineers the last few weeks than ever before (including myself). The one thing I will say, is that the carbineer board is a hell of a lot more fun and civil than the BH board, and lots of BH's are posting here to the delight of the longtime and carbineers.

ive done the same thing and i love it

once i got carbines 4 in bounty hunter carbineer was easy to level in

ive been in a couple pvp matches and it is really fun and effective

dont need much for melee defences because they are usually dead before they get close to you

although the melee defence would be nice against jedi

Yes, that's my gameplan. Mostly due to the fact that speed and accuracy are granted much faster on the BH carbine line. I can get +50 speed and +50 accuracy all in one line instead having to do 2 to get +20 speed and +55 accuracy. Personally, I'd rathersacrifice the 5 accuracy for a short time to get an extra 30 speed without having to wait till I get another 1.2 mil of xp. I have to work in BH pistols and LLC somewhere in the grind too.

How do you find the carbineer/ranger build? I was thinking of switching to that for a while and would be interested in your view.

If Master BH is your plan along with Master Carbineer, then I highly suggest you start running Investigation missions soon. You can read about how to level Investigation in the BH forums. However, as you are running those missions you get weapons exp from killing the mark. Might as well kill 2 birds with 1 stone, eh? In addition, investigation will be your demon. It is slow, boring, tedious and FULL of bugs. Find out sooner rather than later if you really have the stamina to endure all of that and if not adjust your template to something you find more fun.

Oh I am, I'm just not training in Inv until I hit the 10k cap so I can skip that terrible inv 1.

If you're into pve, it's great. With a combination of state effects, posture attacks, knockdowns, and traps, I can usually go against mobs of creatures without getting hit. Some people like rifleman with ranger, and that is fine as they usually hit for more damage, but they don't have the area attacks we do. It all balances out, I suppose, but defensively, carbineer with ranger is good for creature hunting. Just don't expect to pvp and hit any fencers or stackers anytime soon.

I was definitely thinking PvE, if I was thinking PvP then Ranger would be out to start with :-)

I couldn't bring myself to do Rifleman/Ranger, have already done master pistoleer when I was triple master (smugg/tkm/pistoleer) on top of which I am getting bored with melee having done tkm, fencer, pikeman and most of swordsman (there just no strategy to melee...) so I thought either carb/ranger or carb/bh/scout4040 + other stuff.

Thanks for the feedback.
