I'm curious:
Can you still inflict states on something that is completely immune to your damage?
Take NightSister Protectors for example.
100% resist to everything, bar Kinetic and Blast (15%).
Anyone wanna go there with anon-Carineer buddy (ie someone who can deal either Kinetic or Blast), and test different state attacks?

I know I could KD them....but that was before the ChargeShot1 fix.....
Logic would say no, but since when does SOE use THAT

I don't fully agree with the 'logic' bit.
I mean, I've hit a critter with FAS2, seen -Block- above it's head, seen "you did UBER but the critter blocked it", but seen States get applied.
I'm going to do the dubious thing, and make an analogy.
Mud in your eye doesn't do damage, but it can still blast ya.
A Laser to the eye may not hurt, but it'll still dazzle ya.
Now, don't attack the analogy, because it *is* crap.
But that's what I've seen, meself.
If I can still affect Protectors with states, then I'm relatively happy, to be honest.

My "logic" is that this should NOT happen.....hey if I Counterattack a shot then I don't think the State should somehow hit me....
But this speaks nothing to how the actual game works

Even if they block it the state can stick. It's the same thing with jedi saber block, if they block the shot there's still a decent chance the state will land.

While that doesn't make sense, it doesn't surprise me that is how it works ![]()

Hehe, it suprised me when I found this out. But after thinking about it and the way the devs do thing, the suprise quickly faded.
