has someone ever tried this? I am actually considering it haha- because I have done about everything else in the game...and I tried pikeman out once and liked it a lot...but I couldnt decide to go BH/carb or Bh/pikeman...doesnt really matter I am not hunting jedi or anything...but I may do pikeman/carb with the new weapons coming out, just wanted to know if anyone has done that taboo combo before. I bet I will be uber.

The opening line on Cabineer/Pikemen is:
Carbineer/Pikeman: The dreaded suicide combo. That’s right, here you have what was once considered the worst ranged elite (definetly not true anymore) and what is still the worst melee elite. It’s not horribly bad, but not very good either without massive augmentation from skill tapes and good weapons/armor.

Actually, carbineer/pikeman can be a good combo if you invest heavily in DOT pikes as is mentioned in the FAQ. Pikeman is probably the easiest weapon to get DOTs for.
However, upcoming changes to poisons/diseases via innoculations and area cures will make pikes with poison and disease much less effective. However, no changes are in the pipeline for fire...
