The proton carbine bears a *very striking resemblance to a H&K G36 model assault rifle? I wonder where they got the idea for that gun

The original movie blaster props were modified versions of existing guns, and it added a sense of believability. I like the idea of some (but certainly not all) of the guns in SWG being reminiscent of RL guns. Like in the movies, it adds that extra touch of believability.

Have you seen the Trandoshan Hunting Rifle? The handle looks exactly like a gas pump handle LOL. I do think they could use a little more creative graphic designers or whatever.

It also kinda resembles this rifle from Aliens, if only we were able to have such an awesome weapon.

yeah the Pulse rifle from aliens. Except the pusle rifle has 99 bullets in it. BTW are there any guns that look like the predators plasmacaster. Cause one of the pikes ( i'm not sure which one) looks like the combi-stick from aliens vs predator 2 the game.

There is also that pistol, the Power5 I think, that looks like an old pre-WW2 "hippo" pistol (german weapon).
The first thing I said when I saw the proton carbine is "That carbine looks just like the G36E!" Then I asked my guild leader what carbine it was.
Not to mention the C12 and C22 look like sushi, but I hope that is rather accidental.
