then rifleman and carbineers should be able to sling their weapons over their shoulders when its not in use

I agree, however, we should also get holsters. I mean, the E11 carbine, in ANH, had a holster.

I agree with Jack.. Most of our carbines should be small enough to either be holstered or at least clipped to a belt in an open-holster kind of arrangement. Perhaps one or two should be in straps, but not all.

While holsters or staps would be good, i would much rather have them focus on oh say things like balance and making it so carbineer isnt the weakest elite ranged profession.

If they get holsters..

-Loosen up our stiff running...carrying the carbine in one hand makes it easier to run.

-Drop the 2 hand grip when standing around..let us hold it in one hand, maybe on the hip, or the shoulder, making us look less stiff, and actually have some "emotes" with the free hand..

-Put the carbine in a sling on our back, or "patrol sling" across the chest..with the triggerhand always on the gun...(When on patrols in hostile environments and usually otherwise too, you never let go of your gun, and definitively not the pistol grip.....)

As it is, we are too stiff, we move like kids playing with wooden/toy guns, acting like how they think we move.....Even when shooting we look like we are on a shooting range..not in combat. When in combat, you are more ready, and lean into the gun, not standing upright as we do now....Firing a carbine like that, and using burst or full auto will destroy your aim fast, and because your not leaning into the gun, you may end up on your back..rounds pumping everywhere but the target...
