Alright, so I get a mission to kill a Tusken. I can't handle a Tusken in a one-on-one firefight, so I dibilitate & bleed him, take a few pot shots and take off before he gets to me. After a while I finally kill him, but guess what? No XP and no looting rights. Is this normal? I can see how it would be a nerf to prevent bleeding things like Rancors with minimal risk, but it's pretty frigging inconvenient...

To get bleed XP you have to be within a certain range of your target. My rough experience iswithin 60-65 meters. The range in which you would be able to engage your target. Imagine how irked I was when this happend fighting a Giant Peko Peko last night and it died 70m away before I could burst in to get him.

I don't seem to have a problem with it. I am currently solo'ing Dewbacks and Flambaa's by hitting them with healthshot1 and 2, then switching to carbine and just normal attacks while I keep a good distance. I get all carbine xp and as long as suppression fire works, he doesn't touch me.

My only problem is that on the harder creatures, after I have been running and blasting them for a while, they tend to disappear and I get a message saying "you lost your target" when they were only 40m away. Is this a bug, or do they disappear when they get too far from their liar?

Actionshots are the only ones I have for now.

Not sure there, I have had spineflaps and shaupauts track me for over a km and I had a fambaa vanish 40m from the lair. But as far as distance goes, you have to be within engagement range (64m) in order to get the bleed xp when it dies, it can go further than this, but it has to be drawn back in to get the award.
