This nerf is only causing problems. It has effectively destroyed the entire carbaneer profession.
It is very clear we are at the bottom of the stock pile....
1) No Ranged Defense or Aiming till Master Carb.. when Riflemen and Pistoleers get it through out.
2) No Melee Defense at all.
3) Poor resists.. only 15 to Intimedate and KD. When the others get much better.
4) Elite Carbine is not even up to par against the T21, DX2, or Scatter pistol
5) No Dizzy shot. Dizzy shots accually KD the person. You keep falling over and over becuase you are to Dizzy to stand up. Hence why nerf KD when every BH with only 1.6 million XP vs a Carbineer (using MasterCarb even though our speed and accuracy is far below theirs) with 4.3 million XP can just spam /confustionshot and we can't do a thing about it. You BHers can flame me all you want.. you can't beat the shear about of more combat it takes to even come close. Numbers dont lie. Even at Master BH it is still below.. only 4.1 million.

Those that think they know, only bother those of us who do.
The simplest and least balance-damaging thing to do would be to make KD shots do minimal damage with current or slightly reduced from current (but still higher than original) HAMs. If you're knocking down for 150-200 HAM to yourself, but only inflicting standard auto-attack damage, you'll vary your KD with other stuff. The final touch would be to allow for "partial resists" that give shorter KD effects, so that while you're mixing in damage moves, you don't know for sure that they won't get up sooner than you expect.
This lets support-oriented people play support and CC, but requires coordination with folks doing damage moves, or tactics by variety of moves (or bursts of autoattack) if solo, to actually kill the target.
Given the current state of "tanking," pinning via knockdown or posture effects is a *very* necessary strategy for groups of all skill levels starting around novice elite. Brawlers can't take the pain from this kind of stuff well enough to be viable tanks, which is why CH has the ridiculous population numbers it does. There are two alternatives when fighting anything higher than a CL 15-20 -- creature handler tank, or pin. Guess which is more movie-immersive and sensible in a world of lethal ranged attacks? The one getting nerfed, of course.
i agree with u 100% and the post about no new skill at master and the legshot 3 being legshot 2 with diff # but same damage and the fact the elite carbine the best weapon in our class does not compare to other high end weapons.
i hope that SOJ is reading theese forum and passing all this on, and frankly i am very dissapointed that in the next patch we will get nerfed the most 30 sec timer on 3 of our special shots but none of our problems are even being looked at. frankly SOJ i feel it is up to u to bug them about this because since the commandoes are getting fixed in this patch we will be oficialy the most underpowered combat profesion in the game.
at least if u are imerial u can get at-st to do your killing for u i am stuck killing eopies and night spiders lol
