Thread: Carbine PVP test
I have 4 carbines and have been trying to figure out which is the best one for PVP. I got someone to let me incap them 4 times (including one death) and counted how many times the carbine fired and how much damage it did. I did not use any special attacks I just let autoattack do its job. These are the carbines I used and they are all sliced.
DH17 Snubnose:
No Armor Piercing
Energy Damage
68 - 170
1.6
27/26/13
-25 @ 0, +2 @ 25, -80 @ 64
DXR6
Light Armor Piercing
Acid Damage
126 - 145
3.7
28/45/21
-20 @ 0, +2 @ 22, -80 @ 64
EE3 Carbine
No Armor Piercing
Heat Damage
75 - 175
2.2
38/31/17
-25 @ 0, +2 @ 27, -80 @ 64
Laser Carbine
Medium Armor Piercing
Energy Damage
31 - 255
2.8
29/44/22
-45 @ 0, +7 @ 50, -40 @ 64
Now here are the test results I got.
DH17 Snubnose
35 Shots Fired
1 Miss
Hit Between 40 - 61
DXR6
33 Shots Fired
4 Miss
Hit Between 48 - 72
EE3 Carbine
28 Shots Fired
2Miss
Hit Between 41 - 64
Laser Carbine
31 Shots Fired
3 Miss
Hit Between 41 - 95
I was rather shocked that they seemed to be rather the same. The all fired between 28 - 35 shots with speeds between 1.6 and and 3.7. They did damage between 40 - 95 with min damage differences of 31 - 126 and max damage differences between 145 - 255. I know this test isn't 100% accurate but what are you thoughts? Which carbine do yout think is better?
You need a better DH17 Snubnose, that one is rather poor.
And what are your skill mods? That'll play a role in the rate of fire.
was the target wearing armor? makes a HUGE difference in damage dished out
the way to accurately test it would be to have the target wear the same armor and have the same stats every time, then attack them for 1 or two minutes and record the total damage and total number of shots and average damage of each shot. then do three trials and average those (if you want added accuracy) also then record the misses and etc.
if you wanted to do a more extensive study you could try it on a person with each type of armor.
