Hey guys,

I just got novice Carbineer, and I am about to earn my first skill box. I am a fan of area effect shots like fan shot for pistoleer and flushing shot 2 for rifleman. I like to shoota bunch of stuff while it's chasing me around to get my experience.

I was reading that burst shot 2 is the best damage area attack for carbineer, but then I saw on the same thread that it has a speed modifier of 6.0??? 6 seconds between attacks???

Can someone please enlighten me as to which area effect attack is the best for carbineer? I'm aiming for something that does 1000-2000 damage and fires about once per 1 or 2 seconds.

Burst shot 2 or wild shot 2? which one has better dps?

Go for Burst Shot 2. I think people say that its our second best attack (next to crippling).

Full Auto Single 2 - stuns, dizzies, blinds all in one. plus its the fastest special.

The table from the specials post is a bit tricky to read. The delay on BS2 is 2.5 and the damage multiplier is 6.0. Wildshot2 and FAA2 have a delay of 2.5 and a damage mod of 4.5. Keep in mind actionshot2 is AE action damage now since they fixed the random pool hit of bleeds (and it does a posture down too).

Full auto single 2 is a great all round shot. fast, quite damaging and puts nice effects on targets. Use this for big critters.

burst shot is a standard high damage attack that i use for most critters i don't worry about(depending on armor buffs and the like).

opening with cripple is always good as you may get a heavy hit on action, at which point action shot is goodto follow with.

area attacks are great for mobs but be careful, yoiu may draw alot of them onto you.

Action shot can change posture, so if you stick witha dizzy that can help, but just be careful you are not tapping on thier action if the health is full.

I use scatter alot to finish, if one HAM bar is really low, one scatter usually do enough damage in that bar to finish them.

to sum up. its all good.

I agree. I spam fullautosingle 2. I tried Legshot3, but it really chews up the Mind pool, even while using brandy.
As long as I am Buffed, I can spam fas2 until the thing is dead without a problem.
