Do i have to be using a carbine in order for counterattack to work? Or can i be using a rifle or melee?

counterattack only works when holding a 2-handed sword or carbine.

Counterattack does not work? Who says, it works fine from what I can see in my combat log.

yea tahts odd...counter attack should work more for having 115 of it but it still blocks on average 1/3 of all the shots against me.
