Thread: Laser Carbine: Huge damage variance?
In pvp situations, using my 417 damage Laser Carbine and Crippling Shot, I find that my damage varies incredibly on unarmored players (not mobs, and havent fought any armored players yet to compare). Sometimes my Crippling Shot hits for as low as 105 damage, other times it hits for 1050 (one hit kill on an unbuffed player). Is this normal? Is the damage supposed to swing so wildly all over the place? In comparison, my DH17 with crippling shot would hit in the 200s low and in the 500s high.
Lets take a Laser Carbine that is 23-230 (i know some servers have better...going for average)/
23-230 x 7.5 = 173 - 1725
Now we reduce it by 75%...
173 - 1725 by 75% = 18 - 431
Now lets add 50% because the target is not wearing armor....
18 - 431 increased by 50% = 27 - 647
So, yes, there is a huge varability in the Laser Carbine. BTW...doesn't it suck when your HAM cost is higher than the damage done to target?
