Well, we dont get a root. BUT...you can pick that up somewhere else in your template (like pistols :smileyhappy

Other than that, we rock. Here are my favorites:

- Chargeshot : ranged KD with the crazy animation for the win.

- Improved leg shot : most powerful shot in the game without restrictions. 1.9 damage modifier.

- Crippling shot : great snare

- Suppression fire : what to spam when crippling misses. LOL

Yeah, thats pretty much what I use.Charge shot is my personal favorite, though. Knocks down the target 9/10 times and hits for awesome damage. Beats the heck out of underhand shot. If only it didnt have the silly animation...

Come to the dark side Keklo, it is your destiny!!!

Ok Keklo, here are the attacksI use the most PVP/PVE,I know you will want a template for hunting jedi, unfortunately mine isin't built extremely well for taking on Jedi, but it does the job in groups. My template is basically MBH/ Master Carbineer.

Critical Shot: This, along with Improved Leg Shot, is your killer move. If you have a low SAC carbine, you can spam away and do heavy damage that your targets will whine about. This speecial shows it's true power with a good carefully timed KD, you can easily incapacitate your target if done at the right time.

Leg Shot: Same as Advanced Critical shot in most aspects. Same damage multiplyer, about the same SAC, but it does not have the "Critical Hit" ability that Advanced Critical Shot has.

Charge Shot: As said by thetwocarbineers before me, this is the best ranged KD. Some disadvatages are that it can only be shot while standing, and often, you run towards your oponent in firing the shot as part of the animation.

Underhand Shot: This is a good backup for Charge Shot when you miss and should really never be used when you have the opportunity to use Charge Shot.

Crippling Shot: Good standard snare, usually can be reapplied by the Carbineer about 5-6 seconds from the end of the initial snare.

Spray Shot: Good damage cone area attack for PVE, never used personally for PVP.

Full Auto Area: Same as Spray Shot, a little bit more SAC

These are the main MBH/ Carbineer shots that i use in PVP/PVE, i will tell you more tips in-game and give you a pretty good damage carbine.

Defeating charge shot's forward motion is easy, for example; If you have "first person shooter" set up on your keymap and chase cam off just start moving away from your target if you already are not, and stay in motion while using the special.

QFE

I used to use the default keymap. Then I was shown the light by another very saavy PvPer. First Person Shooter keymap is simply the most effective PvP keymap in the game that I have found. The ability to control the movement and viewpoint of your character entirely independent of each other is a lifesaver for any ranged profession because the the need to kite effectively and stay at a range. It takes some getting used to, but now I look back and wonder how I ever survived in combat with another keymap. There are things that you can do in FPS that you simply can NOT do with the default keymap.

When I got serious about investigating combat and not just doing entertaining anymore, I discovered FPS with chase cam defeated was superb. Iran a lot of CL 80 templates on test for the CU when the frogs wereavailableand that was my favorite set up. I usually have thingsadjusted so all I need to do is nudgeany screen edge with my mouse pointer to pivot/adjust view. Running toward my keyboard so I can see the baddie behind me is my favorite way to kite. Rooting/controlling multiple aggro is a lot easier like this too.I am almost always third person as well, as anyone who PvPs should be, unless the environment is too tight to permit it.
