Hi All,

How do you calculate what your actual firing rate is with carbines? I have searched through a few posts regarding speed, but have not found anything that's easy to understand

Example : My Carbine speed mod is +50 and my laser carbine attack speed is 2.5.

How fast would I actually be firing the thing ?

Cheers,
D

It's explained in the FAQ very well.

Weapon Speed * Special Time Multiplier * ([100 - Speed Skill Mod] / 100)

For example, when you have your 2.5 speed laser carbine using crippling shot (special time multiplier: *2,5) with the speed mod +50 it looks like this:

2.5 * 2.5 * 0.50 = 3,125 = actual firing speed in seconds (you'll shoot every three seconds)

With +75 speed mod you'd be twice as fast, with +87,5 four times faster, with 93,75 eight times faster.

Yup I just noticed the carbine section is totally screwed, my bad. The pistol and rifle sections are pretty accurate though.

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the replies.

I did see the FAQ (only after I had posted) but thought I'd leave the post anyway, as I have seen a lot of outdated info on forums and websites - some of which goes back to Beta

So I just wanted to make sure it was unchanged.

Thanks for the help.

It is fairly old data i don't think it is updated very regularly, and even if it is i doubt carbineer is a priority. That being said there is a very indepth spreadsheet in the FAQ.

It does alot more that calculate DPS as well. It gives you the option for multiple weapons, min/max damage, damage before and after mitigation, compares all three weapon and tells you which weapon performs the best. Every single serious carbineer should have this spreadsheet on their desktops. Go check it out.

hello carbineer experts

i'm trying to figure out the speed mods for post cu, i see a post for the pre cu and do not know if that applies for this

but anyways...

i'm master bh, master cm, carbineer marksman, i use a proton carbine

i have 30 carbine speed and 40 general ranged speed, and i'm using the standard 2.64 speed proton

i'll be picking up a +24 carbine speed attachment, what i'm wondering is if i'll be capped out on speed with this

on my advanced crit shot and leg shot specials?

according to the pret cu caculations i should be, but i'm not sure how general ranged speed comes into play and also with the new delay

timers not sure how much of delays the new specials have

can anyone give me an estimate of what i need to have to be capped? thanks!

No you will not be capped there is no cap anymore. Basically the more speed you get the less benifical it will be in the long run sweet spot seems to be right around 100 still so the tape you get will help you alot.

Myself being a MBH, MCarb had 105 speed i picked up a carb speed +24 and general ranged speed +8 for a total of 137 speed. Now at 105 my modded speed was right at 1.5 with my carbine with the extra speed i think its 1.33 and hardly any noticeable effect. Its late im tired so this post makes sense to me hopefully it will to others

makes sense, i actually sort of found what i was looking for on that art of combat post

but yeah you pretty much cleared it up

so basically i'm at around 1.44ish, plus i'm going to get that tier 1 speed slice, so hopefully things pan out

i wont feel so bad about not having an additional +25 general ranged speed now
