Thread: MCH+MC: Which other prof to dab? (BH4040 or P0103)?

I came back SWG recently, soloing most of the time. I recently master carbine and have some spare SP to spare, so I'm considering 2 options:
P0103 - for stop regen and root shots, higher melee/range def.
BH4040 - for dizzy+stun shots, duelist instance and another KD (does it stack with with carbineer's KD or diff timer?)
I can't decide which to go, though I'm now having P103:
1. The root shot doesn't last long, and don't seem to work well vs >CL80 mobs.
2. Not too sure if the stop regen stop is working too, or whether the impact on mob regen is useful since when solo CL80-83 mobs/npc, the fights end pretty fast.
3. This template end up having too many shot icons: 3 for same (aim shot for recycle shooting, adv rapid fire to chain with improve leg shot), charge (KD), adv supression fire (snare), stopping (root),burst shot (stop regen), scatter (cone dam), full auto (con dam), crippling (cone snare), can be quite messy esp for 1-on-1 short fights.
I wonder if BH4040 is better for pple like me who just wanna kill mobs ASAP. Regardless of template, I always pull with my pet, let it hit 10-15% dam on mob and I whack full force. Most of the time I need to tank abit, but mob normally won't hit me more than 50% hp which can be easily regen via sitting or stim-D.
I understand BH4040 give stun+dizzy shot, as well as KD, so few questions:
1. How does the stun+dizzy (confusion shot) works? B4 I MIA like 2 yrs ago, dizzy means the toon keep falling and can't atk. I believe some effects are now "balanced" and last shorter duration. I wonder if stun+dizzy can last longer and/or work better than root?
2.2 yrs ago, dizzy+KD = death coz target can't get up for long duration.I wonder how well this effects stack now?
3. Does BH's KD share the same timer as carbineer's KD? Or they are on diff timer, ie can have 2 KD within 30 sec?
4. How good is improvedduelist instance, in term of duration, re-use delay and stats/def improvement.
I solo most of the time since I dun play often and have limited gaming time, yet I wanan get a template which is useful again high CL creatures like Kyrats. I read that some MC with dabbing or another combat master prof can solo these high lvl creatures, I hope to do the same with MCH+MC+dabbling. While I believe BH0404 will give me higher dam, I wanan make sure the BH skills are oso useful in doing kiting like pistoleer's root shots.
Appreciate all advices and feedback.

I'm (currently) MCH/MC/14x3 BH, gives me basic duelist stance and some extra speed with accuracy. Tbh, even with triple Nargs the damage difference wasn't that noticable with MCH, you don't need ANY other combat profession to solo with Carbs, I managed it fine without any BH skills and without pulling my pets out. Dont waste SP's just for a special.

My unlock is Mcarb/Mdoc. Don't need much else. Combat aggro for doc has been reduced by 50%, and healing times decreased in pub19.Funny thing is I haven't bothered to check it out, because of Jedi leveling...

I personally like having the ranged intimidate, so when I start wailing on them and the hate causes them to break off of my pet and attack me, it doesn't hurt so much. Especially if you are fighting a lot of high level MOBs that take several shots to kill.

Thx for the feedback. Currently I don't have much prob dealing with CL80-83 pets, but I read from some threads that pple are soloing gorax, kyrats etc. I wonder which dab, BH4040 or P0103, will help MCH+MC template better, with pet as a DoT.

It's not worth spending the points on Inv just for imrpoved duelist stance, you don't want to get hit in the first place.
go for 14x3 or x4x4.

Better speed and better accuracy (thus more damage). You don't need underhand since it's on the same timer as charge shot, blind shot is nice, but Improved Critical is the next best damaging special after ILH so you alternate between them.

I presume the reason for BH14x3 and BHx4x4 is for more dam shots? But MC's improved leg shot is already quite a hard-hitting shot? Will too many dam shots turn up to be redundant? Or still useful for chain shooting? Thx!
