yes, but you can still use TKA defenses(without armor) while using a carb. And TKA defenses are MUCH better.

I believe he was referring to TK post CU. Unless you have a TK Master on TC5 there's no way to know if TK defenses are 'better' than standard armor. The idea is they should be the same.
QFE
Natural TKA Defenses are not meant to be better or worse than Armor at this point.....and nobody has a clue yet because it hasn't been tested and tweaked.

what? we can still defense stack? having TK defenses while having a carbine equiped? i thought the CU was nerfing defense stacking...hell now i got to decide on a second elite combat to go with carbines![]()
Stacking a template full of 250 Skill Points in combat will always be better than just a MBH or TKM or any other single elite master.
Will defense stack like they do now....well we haven't tested it but there are all new formula that follow the law of diminishing returns so it should be a lot different in power level from today on LIVE.

According to the Character Builder, the combination of Master Pistoleer and Master Rifleman for example would leave you with these skills:
General Ranged Accuracy +180
General Ranged Speed +40
Pistol Accuracy +40
Pistol Speed +45
Rifle Accuracy +85
Rifle Speed +65
If you then use a pistol, you'll effectively have an accuracy of 225 and speed of 85. With a rifle you'd have an accuracy of 265 and speed of 105.
Due to these numbers now also adding up, the cumulative defence will matter less than now, where you get your accuracy only from one profession.

when are we going to be let in on what all these numbers actually mean?
