My hopes are to be able to increase the size of the Carbineer Testing Team to make sure we get things done and checked out. If I can keep it down in numbers I might open up my TS server as the best way to stay together while on TC with thousands of other folks.

pencil my name in for the alpha team iv been a carbineer for about 9-10 months of my near 2 years of playing so im sure my input would be useful.

I've been a carbineer since launch, I'd love to help test and time specials and figure out damage mods delays and a speed formula.

#1 be sure to PM me about where the Carbineers will be starting....yes I have picked the planet and city to base our operations out of

#2 my name will of course be Iebas, just like it is on 8 other servers, unless somebody gets cute and takes my name, but they will be in tell hell not me

#3 my TS server is running, well it always is just nobody uses it.....that info will be coming to people via PM as well.....looks like I can keep the number below 20 so my server can handle that.

Thanks to all that PM'd me, the info will be coming shortly as we might see TC up and running later tonight....WOOT

That's a very short sighted view. Mulit-player doesn't necessarily mean group play. Looking at the comments from TC making this game require a group for everything is a bad move in my opinion. Sure, grouping can be great fun but some people just don't have the time for it and the freedom to do something in in a limited timeframe in this game was a huge strength.

I'm not talking about Krayts or Nightsister Elders ... regular everyday mobs. Make the harder mobs group required. Maybe introduce some hard DWB like content but don't make the game even smaller.

We'll see I guess.

Maybe this is the wrong thread to say this, but forcing people to play with others could be forcing some people to go through hell on this game. I hunt mostly alone as I have little patience for fools and idiots. Most times when I get into a group thing, I spend countless hours waiting for everyone to get their stuff together, when we finaqlly get to going about our missions, only to have the majority suddenly log off as its too late to play anymore, and very little has actually been done. I also must say, Guilds are usually useless to me, as the peeps in them have their own agenda, and really offer only marginal help at best. Forcing me to interact more with people who only care about their own goals in the game is going to force me to seek other venues in MMORPG. But enough on that, I just hope carbineer stays a fun career path, as I was once a carbineer in the beginning and am now mastering it on my alternate account to work with my Ranger skills. Just dont make it a useless effort for me by ruining the career choice in the CU.

And to this effort I have been doing my best to test the solo experience.....I think I have been in a group maybe 2-3 times out of the 15-20 hunting sessions I have made.

Solo can be done and at this point the advantages to grouping appear minimum at my level, which is 2221 Medic - 4444 Marksman - 4020 Scout - Novice Carbineer.

Not sure if this helps, but at low to mid levels solo play isn't much if any slower than grouping right now.

Just sounds like you've been hanging out with the wrong people.

With the Combat Update you don't NEED to be in a group. You can get similar xp killing a monster of your level as you would in a group. BUT... You WANT to group because you get similar xp to solo, but your group mates help you to kill faster. So you get MUCH more XP / Hour in a group. The strenght of groups will increase as people have time to fill out all of thier skill points. Already there are a ton of novice smugglers just for the Rooting shot. Look for more Combat Medics too.

Q: where are you:

Absolutely correct now that the group level goes off the highest player instead of adding up the total of all players.....which is when I posted this, but testing today showed your findings to be 100% correct. And I believe this is how the Devs intended grouping to go....but I still think we need a 2X modifier on current XP levels for LIVE (for TC we should have 5X modifier to speed up testing).
