Thread: ADK and you!

Nice post, but the question is if the anti decay kit wouldn't be more useful on a shield generator than on a weapon. Think about it, additional 60% stun/etc protection is sweeeeet.

I suggest putting it on a psg first, if you don't like it you can replace it easily... but when you put it on the weapon first and than realize that it's more useful on a psg you'll hate yourself for having to destroy your best weapon.

Intresting, I personaly dont have anything worth the ADK


A few nice carbines but not worth the Adk /shrug

Great post.


As far as the PSG issue goes, it really depends on what carbine you're insuring. In the case where you're looking at one thats in the 700s and above, sacrificing about 20-30% more resists to be able to use that weapon powered up all the time, including for grinding/PvE is too good of an opportunity to pass.


But you're right.. for anyone that looks to partake in high-end PvE and end-game PvP, a PSG might be their first priority if they have a wide selection of well-conditioned easy-to-replace krayt weapons.


I think in the case of our fishy friend Sandman, however, the Carbine takes the cake. And besides, why settle for one when you can settle for both?

This is a post to help the confused carbineer


so you just got your brand new anti decay kit? Well here are some handy tips for you to think about!




R Is my carbine worth the use of a ADK?


-ADKs as of now are reusable from the destruction of the item that it is used on. this means that if you put the ADK on a weapon all you have to do to get the ADK back is to destroy the weapon.


-If you already have the anti decay kit and plan on staying the same proffession that you, you might want to throw the ADK on the best weapon you have, this will keep you favorite weapon from getting condition loss, and all you will have to do when you find a better or more worthy weapon for your ADK you can destroy the weapon you have it on and place it on your new one




R What is considered a good carbine?


-A carbine that has been made with high damage krayt tissue or high damage power handlers. this will most likely produce a carbine in the high 400s to middle 500s


-A looted carbine that has stats that are much better than any crafted carbine that you have ever seen, these come in many variations.

-High Damage, this is usualy the type of carbine that people will fight for. these should have the stats of a good krayt carbine or higher!


-Low Speed, these carbines are great for the carbineer who doesnt have access to clothing and armor attachments to helptheirspeed, and also to people who do not plan on picking up bounty hunter carbines.


-Low HAM, for the person who doesnt want to relly on doctor enhancements to fight! this is possible one of the least saught after types of carbine but one of the most underestimated types, with a low HAM carbine you can spring into action at any time catching the buffed people or the poor NPC offguard!




R Why should I use my ADK on my weapon?


-Weapons are most likely the most important part of a fight followed by armor.



-With your favorite weapon anti decayed you can rest assured that it will never deminish.



-Good armor is usualy easyer to find then a Great weapon.



-You can put all the powerups you want on the weapon without a care in the world.



-Slicing the weapon will not cause it to decay anymore with the kit on it.




R ADK and PSGs



-If you dont yet have a carbine that is worth your ADK another great option is to put a personal shield generator in the kit.



-Putting a ADK on a PSG works the same way as if you were putting it on a weapon.


-To retrieve your ADK from your PSG as you do with weapons you destroy the PSG


-If you are going to make a PSG anti decay you will want to find a nice set of PSGs and find a local smuggler to slice them for you, PSGs have no encumberance so it is best to try and get a 33% or higher effectiveness slice then drop it in your ADK.







I prefer an easy explanation on using ADK's (but I did STICKY this thread because it has good info):


1. Put your best crafted weapon in an ADK.
2. When a better crafted weapon comes along, destroy previous one and slap the ADK on the new one.


Simple as that, no numbers, just use the ADK all the time

Just be careful..... get yoru items sliced before you put them in your kit. 6+ million credits is mighty tempting for a dirty ol' smugler to steal.

hmm, i have a sliced krayted DH17, 1.1 speed, i forget the precise numbers bu the damage is around 100-295.

do you think this would be worth a ADK?
