Hi everyone, new carbineer here. I used to be master rifles/master tk but conceal and prone sniping didn't really appeal to me. Any thoughts on if carbines and TK will go well together? I briefly respeced to straight melee but it's not really my style.

Current template carbineer/tkm. Yes its worth it. Innate armor is like having 6000 base armor against both kinetic and energy. Battle armor is around 4000 base. Meditate has always been worth getting IMO. And it substantially raises your defense.....er....if defense counts for anything.

Actually current made post-CU armor sliced is near 6000 too.....my +80% converted comp is around 5200 I think....can't get onto Chilastra right now to double check....

WHAT!! The horror.. well, it is great for both defense and offense. I will save myself from ranting. However, if you want to do alot of damage read into the TK forums, please. There was a reason people wanted a balance and it was not to experiment with Hybrid templates. If you want great creature damage, TKMs are tanks. If you want great NPC damage, Swordsmen and Commando's rock, I should know. A guild mate of mine did 4 times the damage I could in the Bettle(Sennex) Cave and hardly broke a sweat. Kind of made me wonder why I invested over 5 months in mastering Carbineer.

To me a Mercenary has always been a damage dealer, however not really a killer. Kind of like the best and worst of both worlds. I can survive but it takes me some time to kill a decent target. I can kill medium enemies but have to run from almost every night-sister. Don't know if that helped any but just my two cents. Enjoy and most of all have fun with what you do!

Uh, yea but your missing out on combining general accuracy and speed mods. To me it seems like Melee/Melee or Ranged/Raned would be better.

TKA will save you a ton of money now that armor decays so fast and is really expensive.
