Thread: missing special attacks? someone help
I just had to fall back on an old tactic I used at launch. Look at the ham of the weapon/special costs.
A DXR6 carbine has a 104 special cost and is the only carbine that is available for the pure master carbineer that goes out to 65m. On the other hand the EE3 requires aroung 78 or so per shot. Difference between the two is that the EE3 does half the damage so you are going to wear yourself out either way you look at it. I find the best combination to be either the E-11 mk2,elite,or laser carbines with advanced legshot (I hope I got that name correct). Dont use chargeshot alot. That just drains the heck out of your "action" bar. And unless you connect with a kd its just not worth it due to the low damage dealt with that attack. Though since KD only seems to sticklong enough for you to get off oneattack, I just use that time to snare or heal myself. Never found a use for scattershot so I dumped that from the toolbar. Kinda sad since scattershot used to be one of my more usefull attacks. Crippleshot requires little ham to execute. But damage is low. Full auto area is worthless unless you want the entire group to agro on you. Things go by much quicker if you divide and conquer.
But yes. I find the lack of AoE's rather disturbing since we are supposed to be, after all, a "crowd control/position control" profession. We were much better equipped before the CU to handle that role IMO. Im not happy that burst shot2 was migrated to pistoleer as burst shot though. If you want AoE's then dabble in pistoleer.
This is kinda sad. Before the CU carbineer could be used effectively as a stand alone profession. Now you have to dabble to get that coveted level 80 combat level and specials to use. Could just be my template carbineer/tkm/medic0-0-1-0. TKM is either underpowered on purpose or VK's are bugged (equipa weaponand watch your dps drop like a rock)and carbineer went from a two toolbar profession (one for groups the other for 1 vs 1) to a threeattack profession for me. Meh.
but shouldnt the ICONS change from "charged shot" to "improved shot"? what im saying for somereason or another its not giving me the correct attacks that im suppose to have. I dont know why, but i havethe old version of the attacks and not the "improved" or "advanced" that im suppose to have. I amliterally missing these special attacks, they arent there believe me i checked a thousand times.
evidently i am the only person that has ran into this problem.. i have submited a bug report ingame but who knows if it will ever get fixed for me... as it is now, im just going to respec out of Carbines whats the point in having a profession if i cant use the attacks im suppose to have.
crappisses me off to, i was master carbineer before this POS CU came into effect and it worked just fine for me then and now i have to get rid of it because of this bug

i thought i had the same problem ![]()
as you get the advanced specails they over wirte the old ones as they are a advancement on that shot .
you should get 8 specail in total + the standard shot you get with all the ranged weopons .
