Asked around, checked out the boards and the general consensus is to lvl up Carbine Marks. to get Cripple shot.

My question is...is Leg Shot 3 any **edit** good? Doesn't seem to do damage above base...?

Just wondering

Leg Shot 3 is, in every way, exactly the same as leg shot 2. They do about 3x damage (over the base of the weapon) and targets the action pool specifically.

Benefits of Leg Shot:

  • Targets a Single Pool

  • Targets the same pool as your bleeds (Action Shot 1 & 2)

  • Very fast firing rate

Drawbacks of Leg Shot:

  • Low Damage

  • Taxing to the mind pool

So there you have it. That's what leg shot is all about. If you have a buff to your mind secondaries (focus and willpower), you can use leg shot liberally to take down some hefty critters. It does low damage, but you can fire it very fast and can always hit the same pool. Coupled with your bleeds, you can do a lot of damage with leg shot. However, if you have a low focus attribute, you're going to destroy your mind pool in the process.

Of course, if you're working with another carbineer (or a few carbineers), leg shot can be awesome. With everyone hitting action every time, you can drop large creatures in no time and with no wasted damage.

Thanks a lot! Most helpful, I'll take that into consideration on my next hunt

I might have missed it, but...

wasnt Leg shot supposed to deplete/hit the action pool of the target, so that he couldnt fire any specials anymore?

Currently Leg shot is doing health damage (although a lot) I would rather have it hit the action pool to distinguish us from the other professions.

You sure missed it, all damage is done to Health. Burst Shot in Pistoleer reduces the regen of the Action Pool but I haven't heard how effective it is yet either.

No prof can hit Action or Mind directly.

Thx !

Though it would be nice if leg shot would reduce the action regeneration too.
Or if suppression fire woud be an area root.
Or if we would get back our burst shot.
Or ...

Burst shot seems to only apply a stun, I didn't notice any significant lowering of action regen.

I heard stun now works on the actions regen rate- it slows it. I'm not 100% sure on that but thats what I heard.

One day the first grade teacher was reading the story of Chicken Little to her class. She came to the part of the story where Chicken Little tried to warn the farmer. She read, ".... and so Chicken Little went up to the farmer and said, "The sky is falling, the sky is falling!"

The teacher paused then asked the class, "And what do you think that farmer said?"

One little girl raised her hand and said, "I think he said: 'Holy Cow! A talking chicken!'"

The teacher was unable to continue for the next 10 minutes.

An oldie but still a goodie. The CU has everyone running ragged trying to figure things out...decided it was time to add a bit of humour..
