I for one would like it, we already have an acid carbine and it would certainly be nice to do damage to some of the nightsisters. It is a SLUG thrower carbine after all.

Exactly! In the Star Wars Universe, it is the literal truth. The "Slugs" are actual slimey invertebrates that cause extreme discomfort when they come into contact with your skin/fur (hence the Acid type damage).

The Devs has stated that Kinetic damage is only for melee guys. So no kinetic ranged weapons. But I understand your concerns, but we'll not see a new kinetic ranged weapon.

In the early stages of SWG the Tusken Rifle had kinetic damage but they changed it to energy.

actualy, pistoleers get the striker pistol, which is kinetic damage....just pointing that out

and with Lunge2 of any weapon the range is 20m I belive...

striker pistol=kinetic dmg......not that it matters its a pretty useless weapon.

Not a good idea, lets add a new damage type that is equally useless against composite to the rest of our weapons.

Although, its been stated pretty plainly that armor is due for a nerfing in the Revamp.
