Thread: Thinking of being a Carbineer... help.
Come JTLS Selusa is dropping most of his combat to be smuggler / shipwright.
Ranger is not worth crap honestly... and rifleman... eh it isn't as cool as I thought it would be.
I have done some research on a character builder... I am really just wanting the experienced players to help me with my template.

This template allows me to heal myself and my wounds minus mind. I am hoping to just keep brawler for Taunt since it helps a ton for big game hunting pve... I am also wanting to be able to hunt jedi, since it's something I've never done. So that means I'd have to be decent at PVP also.
With PVP in mind... I could get rid of medic and get...

That would give me eyeshot, and torsoshot.

I just distributed the additional left over 4 pts into scout so they didn't gather dust.
I am thinking that the ranged kd/dizzy along with eyeshot could be fun...
Is Master Carbineer worth it? I know that Master Pistoleer is worth jack crap so atm I am only 0043 pistols. I notice that Carbineer can be speed capped at +90 with any weapon 4.0 speed or lower. If Master Carbineer isn't worth it... how much could I drop? Would Master BH be worth it?
EDIT: Some info above is inaccurate, I realized after posting that I left a line in brawler, needless to say that freed up 14 points.

So basically this build is for pve?
I am hoping the combat revamp helps out defense from melee profs...

Why are you keeping 3XXX BH? If you want to hunt Jedi, well BH/Carbineer sure isn't the way to do it.....just ask Benny....
And 2000 Medic makes more sense than 0200 Medic.
I would also question why go XX4X BH without any other Pistoleer skills....and you can pick them up from dropping down some in Carbineer since you are X4XX BH.

That is why I have posted this.
I don't plan on hunting jedi by myself, I always hunt in groups. Allowing me to have the investigation allows my group to pick up more melee.
I haven't had medic in a long time, so I'm not quite sure whats best
The xx4x BH is so I can have speed max for pistols and have eyeshot. Carbine has no mindshot... but eyeshot targets the mind, plus torso shot is a firedot.
And about you commenting on dropping master carbineer since I am wanting x4xx BH, what would you recommend dropping? How much could I drop? Dropping more carbine frees up more medic for me...

Investigation does what? It is for taking BH missions, specifically Jedi at Invest 3.

That way I get a small amount of melee defense, state defenses, and a pistol close range KD.
I would be speed cap for both pistol and carbine also.

Hunting Jedi you will get pwned in a heartbeat.....you need melee in your template unless you are killing EBAY Jedi ![]()
BTW, the defense you are picking up won't help one bit either until the mod is around +75 or higher IMO.
