Alrighty, I think Master Carbineer/Bounty Hunter 3/4/0/0/CH 4/4/0/0 would be awesome for both PvE and PvP. I am thinking about pursuing this temp, any commects or suggestions are appreciated.

Lol change it template. Sorry for the spam. But take out Investigation and add it to CH 4/4/0/3. So I can handle up to level 36 creatures.

CH is worthless in PvP and doesn't help much in PvE anymore. anything i dont want hitting me destroys pets and if they get KD while you're shooting them the aggro goes after you

Well there really aren't many other trees to go up that are worth doing. CH is probably the best choice.

Personally i'm a fan of using brawler/medic for my extra points beyond BH/Carbineer. The usefullness of Intimidate alone makes it worthwhile, and do we really need to discuss why having access to stims is a bonus in pvp or pve? The problem i've seen with being a CH is that while it's great for the first few shots, you're going to outdamage your pet almost instantly and pull the agro to you anyway. And even with a pair of sludge panthers or GW's if you're fighting something serious in pve they're going to get wasted pretty quick, and in PVP... well, c'mon.. the fastest way to get rid of those pets is to kill their master. But with brawler/medic you add the damage reduction of intim to the stun reductions and when you need to heal, it's simple to use warcry on them (wearing the easy to get +25 warcry bio clothes) then spend all the time you need healing up.

Might I recommend something like:
M. Carbs, 3400 BH (if you really want Investigation), 0044 Pistoleer and Novice Medic?
or get rid of investigation altogether (why bother hunting Jedi?) and dump the extra points in a bit more of Pharmacology in Medic, or ease up on the last pistol branch and dump the SP into Novice Brawler.
CH is fun, but an average set of armor and buffs, along with a few defenses and Novice Brawler is much better as far as PvE goes. In terms of PvP, you're looking at the difference between day and night, heh.

I agree with the pvp part, but I disagre that it's worthless in PVE. I find I can solo pretty much anything with them now. Since pets seem to make states to stick better than what our carbines can do, I can match up for example my huurton stalker that does dizzy strike and my grual mauler that does a poster down attack, which trips them up pretty nice. And if they get KD thenmy armor does the rest until they get back up again.

Ch is pretty worthless, I tried to salvage it and was a master for a long time. I had top-line Bio-Engineered pets ( and rares- still do) but honestly with the bugs it faces, lack of content and severly gimped profession (not even the grind is easy) skill points are better used pretty much elsewhere.
PVP worthless:
2 lvl 35 BE pets that had the specials: intimidate, dizzy, posture down, high disease. Used a macro running the specials over and over laying states on enemies while I used swordsman. (it was pathetic, they didn't even get 1 state on).
PVE worthless:
Ok they tank, but you might as well tank for them, only time they weren't "holding you back" is when their secondaries are buffed, but of course they need a set of buffs, and a commuting doctor to meet them to buff them. (every time stored buffs go away).
IMO, CH anything isn't good, unless you like to roleplay or have a companion (i enjoyed it, but worthless nonetheless).

Well it's a good opinion just like mine, but my pets hold thier own.my pets get only mildy damaged on high level mobs and nothing that Pet Stim D's can't handle. I don't have bioengineered pets, I don't buff them. not sure whats wrong with your states not sticking but I have little problem with mine. I think it's a great compliment to carbineer.

Yeah all it is is an opinion, I tried it out and loved Ch, but if its about effectiveness, it didn't work for me and i chose to pursue another profession.
