I did a /search to see if anything like this was posted, couldn't find it -- so I figured I'd post some advice for anyone who's a BH/Carbineer or whom routinely finds themselves fighting Jedi.

FAS2 them over and over. Why? Landing state after state on them drains their force-power bigtime because they are constantly healing themselves.

More states you land on them, the more force the use, the less specials/force skills they get...which then makes them hide in zee water.

Now granted, hitting a Jedi is hard, so if fighting one pop some Citros, and do whatever you can to get your accuracy as high as possible. If you're speedcapped, hitting them with status effects should be no problem.

(I say this...because Eclipse is literally crawling with Jedi, there are easily more Jedi on Eclipse, than Carbineers or Pistoleers.)

Yeah, some still don't realize the key to killing a Jedi is taking down the Force Pool....and keeping them away from water....

And a slight correction there

I never really thought about FAS2 for the states (forcing them to heal.) I would, when I was a BH + Carbineer, just Dizzy + KD and crippleshot. I guess I'll have to try this sometime.

Any Jedi who is a TRUE PvP person (not just a holo-grinder) will put up a hell of a fight one on one, a probably near impossible fight unless you're a melee-stacker. Ranged persons (like all of us) are still for the most part at a decisive disadvantage until this is corrected.

But if you've got teammates, concentrate on nothing but forcing the Jedi to use up their force power, and your group will emerge with victory.

I managed to survive a fight between a higher levelpadawan in Bestine the other day because of sprayshot and terrain negotiation. I kept running circles around the base on Bestine Hill and the battle was dead even the whole time. Eventually he ran away, most likely due to lack of force. I think the key states areblind and dizzy. I will tell you however that any good knight with master saber will eat you for breakfast 1 on 1.

Agreed, I've been a part of four Jedi kills. It was always the Melee fighters on the front line, but myself and another Carbineer did well planting states and putting the initial KD on the target in order to let the melee fighters rush him successfully, with a DOT carbine keeping the pressure on him to heal constantly. In every case, it came down to a chase and someone ranged putting the KD down in order to let the melee fighters close.

I've personally taken the DB on a Jedi Padawan after a 20 minute chase across Northern Dantooine finally wore him out. Again, it was a melee fighter who made the best first contact, but in the end, it was states and KDs that finished him from the three of us that were ranged. The advantage there was that he had not attained the skill to heal Dizzy, so when it stuck, it hurt him bad.

Old wives tale. Accuracy doesn't increase your chance of getting through the 85% saberblock. I just means you won't completely miss the Jedi before he can attempt to block it. States like stun or intimitade don't lower the chance to get through saberblock either.

But yeah they do eat away at their force pool and that helps ALOT!

Actually increased accuracy does help because most Jedi now are defense stackers with capped Defenses.

Thus better accuracy = never hurs to have.

States, dizzy, posture change and KD. Rinse and repeat...over and over again. After that if your target is of a high level, it's up to pure luck. Best is to try and make them panic, a sudden and devistating onslaught can keep them 2 steps behind your actions, once that happens just keep going at it. Was able to take a saber 4 without loosing the grants on my steak simply because they started to panic, never put away his training saber and by the time that was noticed it was too late.

But then again a rocket round smack into the belly of the rancor they are fighting helps a lil in the shock and awe department
