Hi folks,

I am interested in providing some specialized carbines for the carbineers in my galaxy and need your ideas and suggestions. Is there a particular configuration for a gun that you've seen or would like to see? Any carbines that could be specialized to a particular creature or opponent? How about PvP, What carbine works best for PvP?

Any and all ideas and suggestions are welcome. If you have ideas with our without looted components, that's great. Any input is much appreciated, thanks!

Carbineers really have alot of speed issues, even at Master Carbineer with the highest amount of carbine speed enhancements (+25)we still need a 2.7 speed weapon to hit our 1.0 speed cap. So to cater directly to carbineers you should focus on lowering weapon speed as much as possible. That being said however, i am willing to wager that there are as many BH/Carbineers hybrids out there as there are Master Carbineer's with no BH supplements. And about 50% of the pure carbineers are unaware of the speed issues.

Probably the most in demand weapon is a Laser Carbine with an Adv. Stock with most players strictly looking for damage. This weapon is the primary choice for almost all players that use carbines. Most of the WS on radiant have both a stocked (damage) and an unstocked (speed) variant available for sale.

DXR-6's and Elites are probably the next most popular variants available. These will mostly be for PvP use, so if there is anyway you can enhance the min damage, try and do that. Again the models with scopes and adv. stocks are going to be more popular because of the higher looking damage. Against stocked and unstocked variants are reccomended with an emphasis on the stocked.

EE3's are also something a lot of carbineers look for since it is one of the few weapons in the game, and the only weapon available to carbineers, that does heat damage. I probably wouldn't bother with non-stocked version as these weapons are fast compared to other carbines.

Another weapon which is nice to have available is the Enhanced E-11. I understand you asked for no loot weapons, but they don't require any special components only a limited-use schematic, which are a dime a dozen on most servers, you can likely find schematics on the bazaar. They are basically the same weapon as an E-11, but come with a built in health bleed.

Also on the topic of loot items, i think carbineers are the prof that benefits the most from the Form-fitting stocks from the imperial retreat, so you may want to keep that in mind if you ever decide to sell carbines made with lootable components.

One of the best weaponsmiths on Starsider makes Laser Carbines with the following:

4 Base Krayt Tissues (30, -0.3)

1 Imperial Form-fitting Stock (from themepark)

1 Advanced Scope

w/ experimentation on condition (since people tend to powerup these with a 33% max pup.)

These weapons usually end up being in the 2.7 to 2.8 range with about 340ish max damage, and trust me, they sell like hot cakes, regardless of their price (she puts em at 800k a piece.)

This is probably the 'simplest' PvP krayt Carbine a pure Carbineer looks for.

Thanks guys, the input is valuable.

I currently offer 3 configurations for carbines. They are as follows:

Weapon Models:

The Predator: Fast, reliable, affordable, efficient, and lethal. The Predator is the baseline model that is a lethal solution inmany situations for soldiers, hunters, and security forces alike. Modest HAM requirements and they're nicely balanced to line your query up in the equipped scope for that added accuracy. Available in: ALL rifle & carbine types. (no stock & low HAM scope)

The Xeon: For the combatant who wants that extra punch, the Xeon model incorporates the Xeon over-charge transducer, which takes a bit more skill to handle but is worth it when looking a little extra firepower. The transducer increases the lethality of each shot fired while maintaining moderate HAM demands. Available in: DLT20 & Laser rifles and the DXR6 & Laser carbines. (adv. stock & low HAM scope)

The Chaos: Devastating lethality to match unprecedented accuracy. The chaos line uses the Xeon over-charging transducer that dramatically increases damage and pairs thatwith the auto-target-tracking circuitry of the Saber Scope (patent pending).Requires extreme concentration, strength, and dexterity to use but provides unparalleled performance for the most demanding marksman, hunter, or soldier. Available in: DLT20, E11, Laser, Tusken rifles and All carbine types. (adv. stock & adv. scope)

Wondering if there are other configurations that are of interest and of use for you guys. I understand your speed issue and without krayt tissues, there appears to be a looted component that just decreases speed by a bit to power handlers (no damage improvement). I'll probably use those just for my carbines.

Good idea for the krayt tissue use for carbines, any other ideas and suggestions are most welcome and thanks guys for the comments already.
