Could everyone that PvP's post what type of combo's work best in a Solo PvP situation.

And does anyone use macro's for a hot key to set up a series of shots ?

For example:

(mac to a single key F8)

/chargeshot2

/fullautoarea2

/fullautoarea2

/cripplingshot

Does this work well? and if not why ? and what works for you.

I would prefer answers pertaining to aCarbineer fighting solo against one or multiple PvP targets.

Thank you in advance.

It really depends who am i fighting.

Agaisnt most melee profs, i will usually kite my opponent and use /wildshot2 to get the stun and/fullautosingle2 to get a dizzy, then go a for a /chargeshot1 to Knockdown my oppenent, afterwards i go at it with /scattershot2 for the mind damage, unless i have noticed my opponent doesn't have medic in which case i go /crippleshot til death.

Against ranged profs, i usually go /fullautosingle2 and try to get a Dizzy ASAP, then /chargeshot2 and theni usually go in with my scythe, but /scattershot2 or /crippleshot would work just as well. Except make sure you have a good DXR-6 or Elite, to help lessen the impact of Mitigation.

I am not sure what you mean by multiple targets, if you are asking about multiple targets against just you, there is this nifty command .../burstrun i really don't know any profs that can withstand being out numbered. But in groups against other groups, i usually use /fullautoarea2 and /chargeshot1 (*not* 2) and then if i notice someone on my side, focusing damage on a specific target i will lend a handusually with /scattershot2 just for the mind damage, as most PvPer's target mind. Be sure when usingAoE you are onlyaffecting the targets you want to affect. Nothing makes me happier than a foolish opponent KDing me and then megetting right back up since i had no dizzy, and then having a 30 second immunity to Knockdown

Carbineer is NOT a single key "twitch" profession, sorry. You need to have 6-8 specials hot keyed and use your MIND to win in almost all PvP situations.

The "macro" you list is great on paper, but the % chance to land KD and a state can vary too much. Just use those shots 1-2 at a time until you get the target "stuck". It is hard to go wrong with the FullAuto series and bleed shots.....they will do great damage and Dizzy/KD

As Master Carbineer alone,I used:

Wildshot (to get the Stun)

SuppressionFire / Action Shot (to get a posture down - use Action shot for bleed.. most people who can heal it will, even though it doesnt to much)

(Insert KD here.. like ChargeShot)

FullAutoSingle2 / ScatterShot (FAS2 is great for states.. Scattershot hits the mind pool better than most.)

You will most likely have to vary from time to time, as mentionned above. We can't spam the same specials or setup a macro that will work all the time. For example, with speed tapes, CrippleShot has a higher DPS. BurstShot hits nicely too. Legshot is great for incapacitating targets that have a low action pool (if by random chance that pool was much lower than the others.)

Naturally, for group situations, FullAutoArea2 and ChargeShot2 work great if you can get a Stun/Posture down on multiple targets. It's all a matter of what's happening in the heat of the battle.

If, however, you went BH/Carbineer, then its pretty much ConfusionShot, FireKnockDown, and CrippleShot till death. Though some posture downs and FAS/FAA are great for states too, if you sit back and slug at 50m ranges.

A macro running like so:

/FullAutoArea2;
/Pause 1;
/ui action toolbarSlot07;

Insert ChargeShot2 once the Dizzy lands.

I keep with the area attacks to counteract GTEF coverts.

dang there's just so many variable to consider lol, which is why i love carbineer....buuuut. lets see...

SingleTarget: (buffed/armored) i rarely fight against unbuffed/unarmored opponents

kite them into an open area (never be the kited, always do the kiting)

open with fullautosingle2 (wait til i stick a stun and a dizzy)

ActionShot2 (till i get them to lower their position)

(now if they're a smart pvp'er they'll stay kneeling until their dizzy wears off, if not they'll fall down)

(if they don't dizzy/kd i use Scattershot2 until i'm at 50m and try to stay within that area)

(if they fall i use CripplingShot while they're down, and pray i get their health incapped with my "uber" carbine)

if i see that health isn't the answer it's just a matter of wearing them down.

maintain a 50m distance and keep firing ScatterShot2. add in ActionShot2 and Chargeshot2 every 15seconds to help maintain the distance

*i mainly just wear my opponents down*

If it's a group:

FAA2 (5x)

OverChargeshot2 (3x)

Burstshot2 (till some get up)

Actionshot2 (3x)

Burstshot2

(rinse repeat....switch Burstshot2 out with ScatterShot2 if they have good medics with them)

i never use macros because they don't work with carbineers

.... why wouldn't you try to apply dizzy before the kd, the chargeshots a very good kd move, so youshould stick dizzy first since its much harder then kd then and layin with crippling,

my 2 cents
