Raiyne is a Master Weaponsmith with a Master Carbineer alt. He's got a thing for tinkering with these things. His concept of the Holy Grail is a carbine that can speed cap Crippling Shot fresh out of the vendor with no SEA'sor power ups.

On the one hand, he may be nuts. On the other hand, he's turning out some lethal machines. I'm more than happy to be his guinea pig.

No attachments or p'ups... but krayt tissue instead? That one will cap cripple at +60 speed, I think. Personally I'd go for slices and powerups and save a ton of money. /shrug

Nah, I got a 17% damage slice on it, which put it at 115-257, and I have +7 Carbine speed SEA's and CorSec Boots (+3 Carbine Speed) for a total of 70 Carbine speed.

CripplingShot was coming out around the 1.1-1.2 mark. I use a 1 second macro to spam the shot at a consistent rate and I was just barely getting que stacking after 8 or 9 shots.

You should be capping it, I think. Your delay would be 0.675s according to the formula I have.

It could be system lag. I will have Raiyne test it on his cable connection, since I'm still a 56k luddite. I just know that when I was firing on the macro at one second, the que would every so often get a second shot stacked in it.

Well, it could just be the server too. Regardless I'm sure the resident speed guru will be in here shortly with his calculator to set the record straight.

LOL

At +60 Carbine Speed, CrippleShot is fired at EXACTLY the Weapon Speed. But in this case it is 0.90 so it caps at 1.0. With this weapon, there is ZERO usefullness in having any more than +60 Carbine Speed. If you think it is firing slower than 1.0 seconds, well something is lagging/bugged on the server as there is no dispute on the Speed Formula and its accuracy.

Although we may see a change in the formula or at least the cap in the Revamp.....some day....

LOL

Amazed you play on a 56k connection and don't fire like 1 or 2 times per minute LOL LOL LOL

Even better, I'm on the East Coast playing on the Kettemoor server, acknowledged as a West Coast server.

I've tweaked my game settings to the point where I can still hover around 12-15 frames per second in full bore PvP in downtown Coronet with a ping rate only in the low 400's.

As with all things, you just need to know what you're doing.

Not bad......it would be a lethal thing to have a cripple shot that fast. I need to start looking for some better stat tape enhancememnts for speed and accuracy and get me a little better gun. thanks for the info
