im a 2 2 0 4 carbineer right now working my way to master, the fullautoarea attacks do not seem to hit anything but the target, im sick of using pointblankarea1 to kill mobs is there any other carbine move that attacks an area?

Actionshot2 and burstshot2 are cone (area) attacks, too.

For me all cone attacks (fullautoarea1, fullautoarea2, burstshot2 and actionshot2) work very good, only sometimes when my target is a lair and i use a cone attack at it, it says "leg hit" or something above the heads of the beasts around itbut they don't get any damage. That only happens with the first shot. Are you sure all your targets stood in the 30° angle?

fullautoarea2 (dont know what your problem here is, it always works for me)

chargeshot2 (this one is great, youll love it)

work with the fullautoarea2, it works, and you will love you using it with npc's

*edit* actually, it may be suppressionFIRE2...dont remember at the moment

The ones I've used don't seem to work on the first round of battle, it seems like it has to aggro everything in the cone to actually work for me... it'll hit everything that is aggro'd though except for actionshot2 which generally rit a random target in the cone and not all targets

Ditto the part about them being close together for area attacks.
I have been runningn Rebel missions lately and been killing the hell out of 3-5 Stormies at a time using FAA almost exclusively.

Works good for me as long as I use a PD to keep, them from running up on me every once in a while. Pic cause everyone likes pics.

Etonn.

Full auto area2 works for me too, charge shot2 too, never tried the others really.

The area attacks are amazing, especially with more speed and accuracy.

With a small group group of elites last night hunting NS elders, folks were very impressed with the amount damage I was dealing.

With mmarksman, mcarbineer and enforcer from the bh...O....M....G!!! The only thing that stood for more than 10 seconds was the elders with their high hp, but even they fell like the punks they are!

I use burst and actionshot 2 mostly and occassionally fullauto2, all after opening with a couple wildshot2's.

One thing I noticed against the "100% resistant" to all but blast and sabre Nightsisters was that my ae's did seem to do 'slightly' less damage than normal, but cripple shot (not ae) did not seem to be effected at all. I was slapping elders with 2600 hits faster than a 14 year old can change fotm's!

My guess is that you are fighting creatures, letting them run up to you, then using your area attacks to try to defeat them. This will not work because carbine area attacks fire in a cone in front of you (I think 45 degrees, but these other guys can tell you for sure). The key to carbines is controlling your targets. Action shot 2 has the same effect as suppression fire, rooting your targets within the cone areain place for a set amount of time (you may have to attack one creature and wait till the rest aggro on you in order to supress multiple targets). Following this with charge shot2 after the suppression wears offwillknock them down andbuy you more time before they can get to you. I also use traps to controlcertain creatures and keep them in my cone area. Remember that carbineer is a profession that requires player skill where you have to react to the situation, and not just mindlessly stand in one spot spamming your favorite special.

Yes, I guess I missed it. Ok so it's 30 degrees, not 45. Sorry for that.
