I went from 2200 Rebel FP to 2000 FP, and I didn't get a single DB.

Which means I was DB'd 4 times through that span really (give or take). It was triple-incap madness from Rifleman, CM, Jedi simply owning and destroying everything.

I've decided, screw fixing any profession, bring the Combat Balance and PvP fixes.

Disruptor Rifle hit me for 400 damage despite my 90% helmet, PSG, buffs, and steak.

Good PvE combo's with Carbs?

Disrupter will go through your PSG. I dont mind riflemen. I just haven't gone overt in a week so I can at least feel good about denying jedi xp for killing me. Damn game...

Were you grouped or were you soloing?

What kind of foods were you on? What are your weapons like? What's your full template like? Is it entirely dedicated to PvP?

The reason I ask is because we just toasted 4 Jedi today.. and couldn't have done it without 2 carbineers in our group. They were camping our buff house, taunting us to come out. Finally we buffed, ran out with the melee classes, while our 3 carbineers went for their only CM. Got her down, and then as soon as the Jedi saw that.. started running.

Thanks to their KDs, and us Fencers/melee'rs being able to spam dizzy on them, we kept all four of them on the floor, and a minute later, it was all over.

Granted, we outnumbered them.. but if it wasn't for the Carbineers' KDs and taking out the CM, things could have been different, and our prey would have run away.

Yes, we do not damage unless our target is permanently KD/dizzied.. which doesn't happen often. Group with melee classes and pot-shot states? You'll be a king.

MCarbineer/BHCarbine III/BHPistol IV

Full buffs on all stats, H/A/M, 90%base armor with 40% stun (expensive armor) using my 800damage Laser Carbine (pup'd)

Foods:

Steak

Vercupti

Brandy

Ahrisa (timed it with Vecupti before hand)

My stats were astronomical insane with buffs, and Power Boost (kept TKA 4/0/0/0)

My problem wasn't me -- it's the fact no one in PvP DB's anymore, I was simply griefed for three hours...I only lost 150some FP, I didn't get to DB anyone --so I was only DB'd three or four times.

It's gotten to the point on Eclipse where everyone is a Rifleman/CM with an MBrawler who follows them around spamming Warcry2 on the Poison/Disease victims, while a TKA keeps the Docs incapped without DBing them somehow, also using Warcry on the Docs who get poisoned/diseased.

Thing is, we did the same thing to them.

PvP is such a mess in this game, it's become pointless. 1100pt mind poison ticks, while there's a Warcry 2 on me, and our Docs are being constantly griefed. Even more said when people on my side do the same thing to them.

Rifleman aren't really the problem, but when on Steak, with buffs, and a 90% acid helm I dunno how I could get hit for 400.

I want them to fix all professions too, like everyone -- but they have way more pressing issues at hand than professions right now. They simply gotta focus on the CB over anything else.

Hell now Jedi found out they get FRS for killing their own faction, so people let themselves get DB'd by their friend Jedi over and over and over.

ANd this was massive PvP, 30+ on each side at a base.

Both sides simply griefing the hell out of each other, it's sad. :/ That's what actually bugs me the most anymore. You can get so little enjoyment out of PvP...yet, that is really the only endgame here.

Ever thought of putting an player event together? Just take a bunch of friends into the middle of nowhere on a remote planet and just have at it (Rori is very deserted on my server, but any advanced planet should do fine). Remember to setup some ground rules before the the PvP begins, and make sure everyone knows them. You could do something simple like "No DoTs of any kind", or you could possibly go all out and even restrict the weapons and armor that people can use. One more thing, keep the time and location a closely guarded secret. Some people just love to grief other players, and it is those types that can ruin a fun PvP event like this. Hope this helps a little

There aremany things that need changing in the pvp system, noone can argue with that. However, the griefing part is something else. You said that you and your side did the same thing and then you can't really expect the other side do behave in another way. It's probably impossible to remove every single way that one can grief another in a game so complex as this, so it really comes down to a choice. If you choose to grief thenthe situationwill probably stay as it is, but if you choose to play as fair as you can and incourage everyone else to do the same thing (especially the ones in the same team as you), then there is a chance it will get better.

Try to play as fair asyou can and youcan at least with a clean concience ask others to do the same thing.

That's my opinion anyway...

Solo or group PvP anywhere at any time has the problems you speak of......

And with the ONLY endgame this messed up, I guess many players will be ending their gaming subscription.....

Griffin, this is exactly the reason i went BH until the combat balance. Jedi don't have poison/disease, and dont spam hs3 with a jawa.

Trouble is that once you've been involved in large-scale PvP battles in SWG you understand the potential, if they ever get it balanced. It has the potential to be an amazing PvP game ... so near and yet so far, and still at least six months until they start theGCW revamp

Your so right. On Chilastra some upstart terrorists (read: rebels) put down 6 large bases. In response we put down an Imperial base just outside thier turret range. It was a good 30 vs. 30. Unfortuntly it was just after Halva was discovered. I spent the next 6 hours huddled in the base begging for poison cures just to be poisoned 1 second later. There was maybe 1 minor off the side where 10 of us found 10 terrorists trying to sneak around back. It was a fun-poison free battle. The battle for Tsarin (as it was called) would have been the most fun anyone had ever had in this game if CMs didn't exist. I think Tsarin was destroyed 2 weeks later but I didn't participate. I believe we won then because we brought more CMs.
