Hi, Im currently a Master Fencer, Master Carbineer, Pistoleer 0044, Nov Medic. As a Carbineer i have +25 to speed , +13 to acc and +18 to accuracy while moving.
I'm wondering what would be better for pvpin. keeping this template or working on a CM 4004, Doc 3000, Master Carbineer one?
please... send some feedback on this question
Best Regards and Merry Christmas

Well, in PvP CM is stillcompletely uber. I'm pretty sure that even a combat medic without any other skills would beat the template you play now...
Carbineer/CM will be way more effectivethan Carbineer/Defense in PvP when you use Dots... the question is if it will be more fun for you...

That's right.
Essentially, a Carbineer/CM has so few defenses that they couldn't really get into the heat of the battle and would have to sit back, toss a few, heal a few, and fire a few states off but that's it.
Carbineer/CM isa very passive role as far as PvP goes. All you are essentially doing is opening up with poisons and states and letting time kill your opponents. Many people enjoy this true support role.. but I know for a fact that I prefer to get in and get bloody. ![]()

Our guild of 3 has found a fun little combination. My brother is a combat medic/swordsman, I am a Mcarbineer/MBH, and my friend is a master commando with BH0040 and smuggler dirty fighting. My brother will charge into combat and toss out some hard hitting mind poisons and attract attacks since he can heal all three pools, then my friend and I will follow from a distance with dizzies, KD's, and eyeshots to finish off the people who are reeling from the CM mind poisons. Tonight we outfought larger more experienced groups several times until we gotoutnumbered, it was a lot of fun.
I agree CM still has a significant advantage in PvP. Mind poisons are devastating to basically anyone, especially when they are KD'd and getting eyeshotted. Personally given my experience the last couple weeks I think CM works better with a melee class, but a CM and a carbineer together in PvP is very nice. If you let the CM go in solo wearing a melee title people will jump all over them before they realize they are getting dotted with poisons that will completely drain there mind in a few tics. That is a great setup for a carbineer to follow into and "clean up".

Odd. When I was MC/CM I'm failry sure I was only able to heal other's mind pools and not my own.

Hehe, your probably right I just assumed he was healing his own mind pool since he seems to outlast the rest of us in PvP.

be very carreful with combat medic
poison crates of 10x50 use go for about 200k on my server and youll use them fast if you pvp a lot
oh yea cm's can't heal their own mind

CMs can indeed only heal others' mind pool, but part-Doc/CMs generally remove any DoTs that could tick away at their mind pool, thus keeping them alive for a while.
That said, their defenses are usually so weak because of the dual healing professions that they go down quickly when targetted.
Blue Milk is quite effective in healing your own Mind Pool though. Most overlook it but its saved my life far too many times, heh.

Interesting, I am actually building this template now. I am MCM so far and just starting down the path of carbineer. I dont know much about carbineer yet but my hope is to be a truly supportive player in my groups. What I am hoping to bring to the group is the states and maybe some area KDs as well as some poisons to boot. I see it as a very damaging template when in a group supported by stronger PvP templates. The ranged and area stims will also be a nice addition. I dont really have any aspiration to be a solo fighter, but I think with a lot of the focus on Mind dots attacking the action pools might work well. I knowa lot of people see that poison/disease icon and immediately think it is a mind DoT working on them. I made this mistake as a MHS/Master Doc fighting a pikeman with a nice action DoT lance. I'm not sure yet how well it will work, but I am looking forward to it, so far carbines has been a lot of fun.

hey djunke my only problem with the combat medic is that if you ever pvp one on one you will get destroyed with carbiner and cm because you will lose all your fenccer defense therefore if some1 knocks you down you could be looking aty the whole right on your backlkk. If i weere you i would think harder abbout dropping fencer
yess i am a retired carbiner and i was one for 5 months i had the mcarbs, mtk, and pistols 0040

This is my template Master carbineer/Doc 4/0/0/0 /CM 3/2/0/4 and I have the rest in FS
I actually just created this template and got it finished about 4 days ago. My PvP ranking was 1429 4 days ago right before I finsihed Carbines and got the combat medic. Today my PvP rating is 1493.
One on one I actually do pretty good. Melee fighters are not that bad i kite them and keep dizzy cleared off me. (I use a lot of Thaktillo) I took down a TKA they other pretty quick and I have taken our rifleman and pistoleers so far. Othe rcombat medics don't hurt me to bad I just heal myself and posion them (thats nice). And then there are jedi.... I have got killed by every Jedi I have come across since going back to range, but I guess under current conditions that is to be expected.
Anyways I'm having fun with it and its blast if you like to do group outings. I guess if you are more of a loner the defense stacking would be the way to stay. there's my .02 but I'm new to carbines and cm so these other guys will be able to give better advice I'm sure just sharing my experience over the past 4 days.
