Apologies if this has already been asked

I'm newish to swg - just made master marksman/master scout/medic my plan was to head down carbines line - pick up a bit of ranger (harvesting+trapping) initially to get cash from resources while i hunt Once i master carbines i would be looking @ PvP as a support speciality. Was thinking of dropping ranger/master scout and taking either

a)master carbineer/BH carbines 4/ Squad leader 0/0/3/4 with novice medic OR

b)master carbineer/ master squad leader /medic4/3/0/0 with speed tapes (hopefuly)

I like "B"- obviously i would be there to assist in pvp rather than slaughter what do u think???

Thanks

Personally I prefer A, and the reason is because as a Master Squad Leader, the moment you die, people lose the Retreat and FormUp benefits, which make a world of a difference in PvP.

To be honest, I have yet to see an "ATK" Squad Leader in PvP - all of them are AFK shouting bots.. we use them ourselves in important encounters andleave them covert in a nearby building because never being stunned/dizzied and having a permanent burst-run is simply beautiful.

If you plan on playing an active support role, then people will see you shouting the Squad Leader commands, and being a Master Carbineer (and having thus very few defenses), you will go down first. I know for a fact that were I your opponent, I'd target you first anyway. The SL abilities are just that overpowered.

The best offense makes a good defense, and that the best defense makes a good offense. BH/Carbineer is a strong offense that allows you to play a very good support role.. laying states and posture changes while your group moves in for the simplified kill. If I were you, I'd ditch Squad Leader altogether. BH/Carbineer along with some Medic skills or perhaps some Pistoleer defenses is much more viable in PvP and would help your group much better.. dare I say it, than a targettable Master Squad Leader.
