Thread: Missing? kinetic and electrical damage Carb's

Hi,
Can anyone please tell me why there's no carbine's that do ,
Kinetic or electrical damage (or if i'm mistaken please point me in the right way
i'd be so happy to be wrong )
i've checked with a few weapsonsmith's sofar and hit a total blank sofar
the reason i ask ,
Is that there are more then a few npc's that have 100% special protection (re: mission badge's)
to EVERY CARBINES THAT I OWN Heat / laser / acid / energy and can only be killed via kinetic or Electrical Damage
if there is a carbine that does that type of damage can someone please tell me what it is

Carbineers only get energy/acid/heat (there isn't a damage type called "laser").
It's on our top 5 issues to get some other damage types because some enemys are completely immune to carbines. We won't get kinetic, because the devs stated that this damage type is only made for melees and no ranged weapons will get it (striker pistol is very weak).
Electricity would be great of course...

I had always hoped the Nym's Slugthrower would be kinetic, it just sounds like a kinetic weapon and not readily available. I dont mind the restrictions, coming from Swords (kinetic and blast only) it is refreshing to have a little more variety, especially heat.

No kinetic damage.....ever for Carbineers....
Please read the STICKY POSTS on the Issues and Suggested Fixes we have had for nearly a year now......

Indeed, this topic is a badly beaten horse, and the statement stands from a year ago that there should be no new damage types for carabines. Though i dare to comment, the statement is not a godly decrete, it can be changed, and as this is the very one topic which comes up several times per week, could it be that this is really a problem?
I've by now more than once read the comment that people should simply look for other targets if their carabine can't do anything. This statement goes straight to the trashbin for me. If a group of friends goes for some targets (and sorry, this game officially still is multiplayer) then one person sure doesn't want to be left behind as he's useless. (Sounds like a great experience, a group of many players and they send the carbineer home as he's of no use for the team in a hard fight... i mean, if a group refuses to take a master artisan, master tailor, master architect novice marksman into high end content, that's fine with me. But if a master carbineer is refused as he's considered useless, then i dare to say that the game has some issue there... )
Thus i agree on kicking the horse a bit more... a quick fix for the problem would be a carbine with other damage type, even if it'd be some weak toy like the stryker. A simple "better than nothing" solution. The "better" solution would be to dispose of the immunities. If resistances would generally be capped at something like 85% or so the use of other damage types still would seem very adviseable. But a carbineer at least would be able to help a little bit, instead of only being a target dummy along.
