Good morning all! I need some help with my template and thought I’d take it straight to the experts.

I am a Master Marksman with the Bounty Carbines line. I have 39 points available that I want to spend in the Carbineer profession. How would you spend these? Of course assuming 6 points go toward novice, that leaves 33 points to spend in the trees. Advice, comments, reasoning?

For PvP i'd definitelysuggest 1404... you'll be speedcapped and have 170 accuracy, cripplingshot (best damage special), area dizzy/blind/stun and area knockdown. The only thing you'd miss is burstshot2, our most damaging area attack... but in most cases in pvp fullautoarea2is more effective anyway. The defensesfrom xx4x are almost useless anyway without mastercarbineer and stacking from other professions.

For PvE i'd personally take the same template... but perhaps for you the xxXx line with it'sthe low-ham damage specials burstshot 1 & 2 is more important than the area knockdown/state specials of xxxX or the accuracy and cripplingshot of xXxx... i don't know.

I am a new carbineer and I am looking at the defense mods he get and they look really poor to me and I see that pistoleer has really good defenses so I was telling a friend what my template was going to be MC, BH carbines, and Pistols defense tree and he said that you can not get the defenses for the pistols with carbineer.

I don’t mean to be a noob if I am asking a stupid question but I would just like to know if tis is true what my friends say.

Well Block/Counterattack/Dodge are weapon specific, but you wouldn't be getting those trees in Pistoleer 0044.

State and Melee/Ranged Defenses are all non-profession/weapon specific.
