Just wondering if combining Carbineer with Swordsman for a +205 Counterattack is any good?

To be honest i don't notice a difference until i am CoBing, and then it seems the same no matter what my CA mod is. Swordsman is not worth it for the defence mods, sickening offence though.

Does the carbineer counter attack actually work? I only have the standard amount from carbineer, but i've never yet even seen it actually have an effect. If it does, roughly how often should i see it click?

Yes it does! To my amazement, I was counterattacking at about 40% of the time against Mokk's last night. I guess it all depends on who you're fighting against. I thought it was because I was using my elite carbine, but I switched to my DXR6 and was still appx. 40%. Too bad the world isn't 100% Mokks

i tried master carbineer with swordsman and brawler, and i wasn't too impressed. the ranged mit 3 let me take out at-sts fairly easily solo, but i only used my carbines when i was too lazy to run after something.
however, i can't wait to get the bh line of carbines and either master bounty hunter, or come up with some sweet combo.

Try getting speed / acc / acc while moving capped, then do either Carbineer / CM / Doc or Carbineer Stacker
.
