Thread: Carbineer vs Pistoleer

How does carbineer fair overall? I like how a carbineer can control a fight and all with the states and I am really thinking of switching over to it after I master pistoleer (partly for the badge and partly to see what its like lol). I like doing, pvp, pve, and pvj (player vs jedi).

Well, when you say pistoleer vs carbineer you really mean BH Pistol + Pistoleer vs BH Carbine + carbineer.
In that case I say carbineer hands down. I mean, of ALL the professions I've played I like this one the most. It's just fun.
Sure a BH/Pistoleer can eye-shot you. But it's hard for them to do that when they are on the ground getting cripple shotted to death.
It really is the thinking man/woman's profession.

bh carbines + carbineer is really fun
i just love it when you kd a melee profession and they just sit there and struggle while you finish them off

Ok, so if I choose carbineer what should I do with my extra points? Should I put them into brawler for intimidate + warcry, or pistoleer 0040 for more state defenses + better use with my pistol + geo cert, or should I go into hunting 1-4 in scout to make money for the docs since I am always very poor

i like scatter2 better than cripple but ive been both mbh/m pistols and mbh/m. carbs
carbs is definately the way to go. i love it

OH! I totally forgot about that shot. Yeah, I dropped carbineer (bad move) just as I was getting use to that move. I'm currently going back to BH+Carbs. It is just too fun. It's great to play a non-rifle ranged professions that can actually work

Obviously you will have BH Carbines / Carbineer. Onceyouhave that,pick up Novice Brawler, Pistol Techniques 4, Novice Medic (at the least), and some Hunting.

Oh yes I forgot to tell you, I also have MBH and am not dropping it. So after I master carbineer I can only get either, novice medic, pistol tech 4, or novice brawler (or hunting 4 for money). Btw I will not drop MBH for anything.

DO NOT GET HUNTING 4
Get a droid
Harvesting droids with 105 harvest skill will harvest better than you could at master scout.
As far as dabbling past MBH/MCarbineer
My original plan was pistoleer 0030.
I got lazy and tried out Pistoleer 0003 (not really worth it... )
I think the best bang for your buck is novice brawler as intimidate + stun is a bear in pvp
I look forward to trying out novice brawler soon... as soon as I figure out where to put warcry / intimidate
on my carbine bar... lol

lol ok, i have a harvesting droid rating 107 and some veghash , i may go novice brawler since i dont have the points to go pistoleer 0040 and the stun + intimidate (not to mention blind + dizzy) will really help. Is there a range on intimidate?

I would recommend MBH - 1434 Carbineer - Novice Medic - Novice Brawler. Intimidate is very nice as is using Stim B's and with MBH you don't need any more Carbineer than that....you only give up ScatterShot2 but Medic and Brawler are worth it IMO.

i love master bounty hunter and master carbineer
i have often thought that i should drop master bh and just do 3/4/0/0 in bh and pick up 4/0/4/0 in pistoleer. if i ever drop mbh im goingto get master pistoleer/carbineer 4-3-0-0/bh 0-4-4-0/novice medic.
