Yup, I'm a mere mortal Master Carbineer again, with only 0044 Marksman. Going for TKM for melee and meditation with a little Medic for in situ healing.

Bh Carbines IV was nice, but in a world of Jedi Knight predators, you've gotta make sacrifices to stay alive.

I am a MBH / MC and I find that in PvP no matter what type of food I eat and what type of armor, psg, SEA's I equip once the enemy starts attacking me I am in trouble. Thats why I seldom PvP alone. The utter lack of defenses makes things very difficult. I often think about dropping something for some defenses, but I like telling people that I have a carb accuracy of 230. For that reason alone I hang onto master of these two classes. Anyway, I tried to solo one of these jedi last night, that didnt go over to well for me. I need tactics, badly...

Galva, open up with a spam of spray shots and land the STUN and BLIND and DIZZY. Then underhand shot (DO NOT SPAM) until he falls over. Then just use spray shot over and over (not as powerful as crippling, but it keeps the states sticking). I don't know if it will work... but you can try it anyway

Well, if you think you can take the jedi down with crippling shot while the states still last (usually about 30 seconds) then go for it. You'll need a very powerful carbine to do it though. I said spray shot because it's safer to do. It's not necessary.

Against a Jedi Knight, you can count on states lasting about 5 seconds. The only exception appears to be Intimidation.

I have been doing the opening salvo of sprayshot spam. Last night I hit a jedi about 7 times with it before my buffs poofed (was waiting for overt status to drop when an overt jedi popped into mos eisley starport). Obviuosly at that point I got onesaber hitkilled. Sadly, I noticed after these seven shots, I had not landed a single state from sprayshot. Just before that though I dizzy KD'd three overt rebs in seperate instances with the sprayshot -fireKD combo and managed to kill all three. Its just these jedi that I am struggling with.

On a seperate note, I havent used underhand shot in ages. I have been using FireKD which seems to work great.

Underhand shot is pretty good, it's almost always gets the KD - the problem is getting the dizzy before it.
