Carbineer Archive

-I have mastered the carbineer and BH classes and am now looking at the next best direction to take my defenseless character. I know that I dont have the best template, but I am going to try and master some techniques and turn it into a serviceable PvP character.
-With that in mind, I am trying to decide where to next devote my funds. I have all the accuracy SEA's I need (standard and moving), I have a nice DXR6 and a decent 411 max Laser that is getting the job done for now. Now I am at the point of trying to decide whether I should start purchasing counterattack SEA's, or go big with one of these 300+ strength DOT carbines that pop up on the trade forums every so often. My last thought, is to try to buy one of these crazy expensive +25 to some state defense armor attachments. I am poor now, and have a lot of saving to do, but does anyone here have any suggestions? Right now I am PvP'ing so I am looking for something that will help along those lines.
-My biggest problem as I see it now is that I soak up damage in spite of what type of gear I wear and food I eat. I can understand that this will be the case given my build, what non-consumable item is there out there that may help a little?
