Okay,
I know I won't get a straight answere of those who now, because of the NDA and all ppl who know something about the CURB currently just say, "it's awesome" but can't give away anything, teases me even more.
Still I want to know something about the future of my class, because even though the CURB may be great, I like the role and the way you play the current carbineers in the game, so I'll describe what I like about the carbineer and you ppl who know something about the CURB can just say, "yes, what you like, will stay the same" up to "no, it will totally change"
So,
Im a Master Carbineer, Master Squadleader, with some Medics skills.
So what do I like as Carbineer.
Currently I love the supportive Role in combat and the possibility to hit multiple targets at once.
When calling out for hunting partys (unbuffed) as a squadleader usually newer players or toons join me to get some good xp and have some fun. I shout a lot of commandos giving the ppl in my group/squad the feeling beeing in a squad.
Now here enteres the carbineer. I like to play my carbineer to a certain extend as a "ranged tank". By using Area attacks I 'll try to aggro all MOBs to me, while at the same time to apply as much stats on them to get them in the end dizzy and knocked down, so my group/ squad can easly tear them apart. As soon as they aggroed my and stats are applied I shout some motivating commands or yells to entertain the whole group but refer to the standard attack, so all get their fair share of xp. If a targets gets up, i try to stun dizzy it and get it on his back again with charge shot or suppression fire.
High level buffed hunting parties, or PvP I havent tried that much (in PvP i tend to die to fast and high level hunts -> action bleeds is nice but everyone hits mind and stats are hard to apply), but again I would like to play a supportive role, having an hard impact on the opposing group so all know, why Im there but without the need to be the damage dealer. In high level group hunts, I cant hit mind and I my stats hardly stick so Im not that much use, besides my squadleader abilities which hardly are noticed anyway but that belongs into a different forum =) ).
So
Will this current supposed supporting role of the carbineer in combat change after the CURB?

Nobody else will post in this thread that is involved in the Alpha Testing......or I will kick them out and have them banned.
Don't bother asking what we can't say.

I'm guessing the professions wont change roles much, yet have them more refined. Rifleman for damage, carbines for support... pistols perhaps in between...., more of a tanking role...? I'm not sure what pistols role is right now pre CUto be honest, heh.

I don't really care, anybody giving any speculation on answering this question shall be "restricted".
I didn't want this thread to be deleted, but we will need to get this locked I see.....
