Am I insane?

I'm looking for a good combo for an occasional PvP'er and mostly PvE. Most are telling me to go fencer, but I'm thinking with the shot fixes this might work asa support role for PvP. As a note currently at 3334 in Carbine and remastering Doc now.

Any thoughts?

My friend plays this combo, he loves it. but he does not PvP at all. With Self buffing and master carbineer he can effectivly solo pretty good in PvE.

Generally, any combat profesion + master doc = good combo

It depends what you want from you class. If you want to PvP, you need to carefully pick 2-3 professions that are combat professions and mix well in that they enhance each other. If you are into PvE and play with friends and others, they will love you for buffing, healing, curing diseases and poisons and ressing them if someone dies.

Carbineer/Doctor is a great support character with potent offensive capabilities.

I love my support role as a Doctor/Carbineer... I can start off fights by stacking states on players/mobs and then settle into a shoot/peace/heal pattern for my group

If you decide to go this route, the important thing is to learn the timing between your /peace and when you can get to whoever you heal... sometimes a split second will make the difference between a healed memberand a dead party... such is life as a doc...

and managing your mind bar is a whole new world when you start dropping heals/rez's on people... if Carbineer is a thinking man's profession, then Doc/Carbineer is the next level beyond... tactics, timing, and mind bar management are key

Glad to be aboard

I switched from combat medic to doctor so the transition is pretty natural. With my vast stores of resources, I was able to be up and running immediately. Oh and that 10k pile of 950/800 avian meat I saved from when I quit ranger helps alot

Thanks all for the help! I'm currently 3334 for Carbineer so I'm going to stick with it. Need to grind Doc for a while again.. Ugh! But this was most helpful!

This is the same track I am on now. I am 4423 carb and 4102 Doc. I am in the process of swapping MCM for Doc which is pretty d@mn easy going I must say. I have not gotten to much into trouble with carbs as of yet and so far love the weapon class. The worst thing I do now a days is hunt rancs. I have found that with a decent armor suit I solo just fine. I just can't wait till I don't have to pay 10k for buffs.
