Can anyone tell me what is the best weapon/shot combo for PvE? I have just gotten Novice Carbineer and been using a Laser Carbine with Overcharge Shot 2, But that combo eats my gun up to quickly.

Make that as a macro and you can dizzy/blind kd your opponents.

i have a knockdown macro thats /fullautosingle2 /fullautosingle2 /aim /chargeshot1. with my +8 carbine aim armor attatchment I almost always hit the knockdown. the only problem is that i dont always hit the dizzy.

now for pve and such, your best bet is to use fullautosingle2 on acritter until you level up some. as for the best tree, isuggest going up the speed tree first unless you have at least +5 in speed attatchments. with carbines speed=greater dot. you can always kneel to get an accuracy bonus until you levle up a bit.

I am saving my +33 in speed attachments for when I master Carbine(yes, I know 25 is the cap, I will save the other 8 for when I fail to repair a piece of armour). Thus, like everyone else with 0 in the speed tree I have 30 speed.

So, I am stuck with 0 3 1 2 Carbine right now. I wear good composite armour (which I make btw) and the tactic below serves me well.

I use a Laser Carbine with 50m ideal range and a DX acid with 22m ideal range (and a much lower point blank range penalty).

I close into the first critter at 50m andgo prone. I then let loose 4 x burstshot1 (you can alsocrippleshot if you have it since you will get three free shots before they charge you). By the time the 4th shot is on the way the critter is normally charging (but I have +40 accuracy modifier between my weapon and skills for those shots and they normally all hit for a total of approx 4k).

I then rise to kneel after firing the fourth shot and switch to the DXR. If I stayed with the laser my close range modifier would be -34. With the dxr it is -9. I proceed to scrap it out with fullautosingle1. I don't move but stay kneeling for maximum accuracy modifier.

Also, when going for that first shot with multiple critters out of the lair, move around until you have them in a straight line from you. If you do it right, only 1 of the group will charge since you are 60m+ away from any of the others.

Tactics are a beautiful thing

Using this combo and wearing 80% kinetic I never die in PvE
