All I have to say is, MAN IT WAS FUN!!!! I am relatively new to PvP so I am sure to an accomplished PvPer carbines might suck. I had fun with it though. Let me paint the picture of what happened...

There was a few of us on Rori hunting for avian meat, when we hear a cry for help. There was 3 Imperials running after this guy. I ran over and healed the guy and got the TEF. They attack me and my group jumps in. Well my first thought was to go pikeman since I am master. Well that lasted for about 2 hits before I was on my back. I got healed and whipped out my carbine. The first guy was about 50m away. I fire away with Fullauto2, then charge2. Fullauto hit but charge didn't. He was a TKM and started charging at me. I held my ground and hit charge2 again and crippleshot. IT WORKED!!! He was laid out flat and I got the crippleshot on him, then another. I walked up and got the DB. That was my first ever kill.

It was about 3v3 for a while and we traded deaths back and forth. It was fun! We were sending tells between us laughing about how I didn't see the hit coming and such. All in all I cannot dish out the damage like my Master Rifleman friends but I still enjoy Carbineer. I am 4314 right now and can't wait till I get master. Hopefully when the combat fix comes in I will be a force to reacon with as a Master Carbineer/Pikeman!!!

Personally I love carbineer for PvP but then I like kiting. We may not be able to dish out the damage that Rifleman can but with our Dizzy/KD we can reduce the number of attacking players real quick.

Man, I remember going overt as Polearms 4 back in late July and getting SO MAD that I was getting beaten. I still hadn't quite figured out that FPS skill had nothing to do w/ MMORPGs. I still find myself consoling myself with a game or two of Jedi Knight 3 after a fight gone bad.

My last encounter was against a Bounty Hunter/Pistoleer in Composite Armor, buffed to the gills. I was plinking little taps on him at FullAutoSingle and god forbid a Dizzy ever landed.

Great story! My PVP experience with Carbineers is they seem to like DBs.
