This question is not meant to provoke or inflame. I am curious and have no opinion either way. But now that bleed and KD have been nerfed for carbineer, why does anyone stay carbineer? Commmando/riflemen do more damage. Pistoleer/fencers/TKA can tank much more effectively.

Yeah it is fun to farm faction and use Burst Shot 2 lmao. Charge Shot 2 knock em all down then blast away with Burst shot, too fun.

All bleeds got nerfed so that is a pointless comparison. The KD actually got fixed so it has a 5 sec timer (with damage modifier) like the rest, I don't call that a nerf at all.

I play a Pistoleer on another character and can tank PvE just as well with my Carbineer, but melee of course is better for tanking. BUT, I have MCH for the best tanks around

The point of Carbineer is the same as any profession, kill **edit** I easily have more DPS than a Pistoleer, but a Commando does more than my Carbineer.....yes I was Master Commando too. But the Commando does not do twice the damage of a Carbineer in DPS either.

For the most part a Carbineer applies states and has a lot of AoE specials, which when used with the MIND, can be quite effective Oh and a huge bank account helps to make up for the lack of skill mods too

Carbineer in my opinion is the funnest PvE profession you can have.

States inflict easily, KDs inflict easily, and CrippleShot at Master Carbineer will mow through a rancor like a weed-cutter gone haywire.

It's also really effective against NPCs. If FP farming is your thing, you can easily tackle on 20 Stormtroopers with buffs at once, and take them out faster than any profession out there. FullAutoArea fora quick few states, ActionShot 2 for a quick posture down to keep them from swarming you, Chargeshot to keep a few on the ground, and CrippleShot/FullAutoSingle2 for a quick cleanup.

It's also great if you're doing group PvP - while a skilled Carbineer can go 1 on 1 against a Rifleman/CM and win, Carbineers shine in groups: Nothing says "I love you" like ChargeShot 2.

If you're like me, you dump every last SP you have in the BH Carbine line, and provided you're grouped with a Doctor and a Melee'er, you can pretty much KD/Dizzy anyone, anytime.

Carbineer is just fun. It requires thinking because it focuses on states and not purely DPS. For Riflemen, its just Master Head Shot 3. For Pistoleers, it's just Stopping Shot. For Carbineers, however, it's a mix of Scattershot, WildShot, FullAutoSingle/FullAutoArea, Chargeshot(s) and Crippleshot, and even suppressionfire.

I can never tank effectively with Carbineer because my mind drains so much while wearing the high quality composite. Sure with the muon and brandy i can, but when that muon downer kick im screwed.
