Thread: Petition for Novamarine

I'm writing to you to ask you for us to get some support from the devs. As you may now, on the past two bunkers other Ranged professions have gotten new guns, either lootable and/or in the form of a new schematic:


Rifleman: Geo Cave ( DX-R6b Acid Rifle), Corvette ( Berserker Rifle)


Pistoleer: Geo Cave ( Sonic Blaster). Corvette ( SR Pistol i believe, not sure) Death Watch ( Currently in TC, the SE gun or something, it looks like a revolver).


Carbineer: NADA.


So i will post another thread on the carbineer board, in the form of an official petition, to rally support for a request to ADD IN THE NEW BUNKER, A NEW CARBINE. My idea is to call it The Death Watcher Carbine, Death Wish Carbine or Mandalorian Carbine. Also , while we are at it, this Carbine MUST have STUN Damage.


But i really felt the need to first write to you directly, and personally ask for your suuport. We can in now way pull this off if u dont help us. The idea is to rally support and you, AS SOON AS POSSIBLE, communicate with ThunderHeart requesting the devs to add a new carbine on the Death Watch Bunker BE FORE IT GOES LIVE. It has to be soon, we have to act fast, cuz if its not added into the Death Watch while its in the Test Center, they wont have chance to test it and we will surely have to wait teo month to HOPE we get a new carbine on the next bunker, which will be an Imperial Star Destroyer i believe.


I know making the request doenst guarantee the devs will hear, but at least we gotta try. At least we have to do our part. It will help a lot of the thread i post as a request you pust it as a sticky thread in the top of the carbineer forums.


PLEASE, reply to this message as a sign of ACKNOWLEDGEMENT of this request.

I agree with OnlyMaestro's post earlier. We dont need a Stun carbine. There were only two stun weapons once that i knew of...Stun baton, and Jawa gun. then pistoleers got one...now we have stun layers in armor. coincidence? probly not. The more Stun damage weapons out there, the more the resists against it will continue to rise. I'd much prefer a new carbine of a non-energy/acid/heat type with AP2 and a decent damage range (150-2xx min/max) as it would help with both PVP and PVE-highend content NPCs. Stun is way over-rated.

I agree with Zydrigeon. I'd rather have a Carbine that does Kinetic (A.K.A Thompson Sub-Machine Gun), Cold, or even Electrical damage. AP 1 or 2 would be nice, AP 1 expected. My biggest issue in PVP/PVE is that for every 4 or5 specials I use, I have to hit myself with a Stim B. When I hunt with my buddy who is a Master Smuggler/Pistoleer, I'm the onlymedic in the group. So I'm constantly firing 3 shots, heal him,run, heal me, rinse and repeat. Fic the HAM issues then I'll take any weapon given. Fussing about a Stun based weapon is not useful in our current state.

Guys i guess you are missing one of the point of this thread. THE MAIN POINT IS THAT OTHER PROFESSIONS ARE GETTIN NEW GUNS WHILE WE ARE NOT. the cry is mainly for anew bunker lotted gun, not just a stun one. Hell if it even doenst have stun but another type of dmg like kinetic or restraitnt GOOD. Wahtever the damge type, just a NEW damge type, not the usual energy/acid/heat.


So, i take it aht u guys dont want new guns? No new bunker schematics? are u guys kidding me right? You happy with the guns we have?

Hey, don't worry about it. I'm sure carbineers will see something in due time...

Remember, the riflemen were b!tching just as hard when they revamped the themeparks, and there were 2 "new" pistols and 1 "new" carbine added.

Really, the ones who have the biggest "right" to complain are the melee classes. Especially 1-H melee. I don't believe there is *ANY* limited use weapon schematic for 1-H melee. 2H has Scythe, Lancer has Nighsister Lance, Carbineer has Enhanced E11, Pistoleer has Modified Republic Blaster, Featherweight FWG5, Geonosian Sonic Blaster, and coming in the next dungeon another new pistol. Rifleman has DXR6b rifle, and beserker rifle

Oh yeah... and TK. They shouldn't have any weapon at all. Unarmed means that. UNARMED.

Although, IMO, overall there just aren't enough weapons in the game. I would personally like to see 30 - 40 weapons *per* type. (IE: 30 - 40 carbines, 30 - 40 2H Swords, etc)

Just lots of us can barely get our hopes up anymore...

I have said it before and I will say it again. Give me AP2 on the Elite and fix the splash damage on the EE3. I will love the Devs for this.

I too would like to see more Carbines and the ability for the Weaponssmoths to be able to make them such as the Slugthrower. Electricity and Cold Carbines would be Sweet.

Dude...I never said I didn't want new loot, it's that stun weps are not the "Be All, End All" solution for Carbineers. Like I sataed earlier, I'd love to see Cold/Kinetic/electric based carbines so we'd have a chance against a lot of higher level PVE and PVP fights. I mean come on, Nightsister's are a pain with a Laser carbine or DXR6. Fix the HAM first, then give us the loot.

Ok yes I would love to see more carbines, but I do not see any hopes for it for Death Watch mini-publish, I would see it for the Star Destroyer mini-publish.


Why, because what weapon didStormtroopers use mostly in Star Wars Films, a Carbine. Yes they called them blasters but everything was a blaster. Also another big thing is the art department is working on Image Designer right now and also the SE so getting out a new Carbine might be tough this late into the Death Watch push. So I could see it for the Star Destroyer or maybe GCW publish.


As for more weapons I was so hoping this game would be littered with different looking weapons. But I was sadly mistaken. From reading the Dev Letters each month, it does look like they want more options available for more weapons, clothing, skin tone extra but it takes time and developement and time in the art department and said art has to be approved by the granddaddy of Star Wars and thats Lucas and his team up at Lucas Arts and guess what they are just as swamped with projects they are working on remember they have other things to work on other then Star Wars Galaxies. Like finishing up the final movie to the pre-trilogy.


If we do get any more weapons I would love to see more cold/kinetic/electric damage typeweapons for carbineers and even pistoleers I play both.


Well its late for this wookiee so hes off to his bed.
