Edit: "For those that are reading to much into my post, I am not petitioning for this or any suggested weapon. This is not even a request. Alsoin no way do Isupport thedelay of important combat fixes over getting new weapons. This post was purely intended to get constructive and civildiscussion on weapons that don't exist, and that may never exist in the game.
Just wishful thinking"

Imperial Heavy Repeater
Damage: Kinetic
Description:
A deadly and destructive projectile weapon that fires a rapid stream of metal bullets, this gun is capable of covering an entire area with deadly suppressive fire.
Ammo: Metalic Bolts
Source: Jedi Knight II Outcast
Sounds a lot like a Master Carbineer weapon. I know that it is a kinetic weapon and that the devs want melee to do kinetic damage, but I feel that any other damage type wouldn't do the weapon justice. Also as a TKM I don't care if some other profession gets kinetic damage.

Not ANOTHER kinetic damage weapon post.....YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.....
This is such a horrible idea that Nova doesn't even bother coming in to these threads anymore.....

Why is everyone so against a Kenitic Carbine? Having an extra dammage type cannot hurt the profession.

Because if you take the time to look, kinetic resistance is the most common resistance in the game.

Like nova said its the most resisted dmg type in the game so if you really want it that bad pick up a brawler proffession. And why not? Everyone else does.

Look, no need for you to one star me, I just wanted to share my fav carbine. Only reason it is kinetic is because the weapon is obviously using Metalic Bolts.
This isn't a petition or anything, I feel that the one star was extremly uncalled for and Im not sure If i want to be a part of your community if you are going to be so harsh to someone who simply wanted to get a fun (civil)discussion going.

Did I ever say that I wanted new weapons before Armor and Buff fixes? I just wanted to get a conversation going about possible new weapons, I never once said that new weapons should take priority over buff and armor changes. I actually agree with you that buffs and armor need to be changed before any new weapons are added.

This is not a petition or requests thread. Ionly intended to get some ideas going in what I assumed would be a civil discussion. I was interested in hearing what others thought a cool new carbine should be like.

I don't know pvt, I guess I broke some unspeakable law on the Carbineer forum. Isn't it nice how they treat people that are new to their forum?
The topic was: If you could add any one new carbine what would it be?
New topic: How aboutwe allstay on topic and share your own dream carbine rather than bashing other peoples ideas?
I know that you may think that Im just lashing back at you for attacking my post. I am indeed angry, but not at the fact that my post didn't go as well as I had planned, but because I expected better from the carbineer community.

Back on topic...
Stouker Concussion Rifle
Damage: Blast/ Stun / Energy
Description:
Fires a concussive blast with an idealrange of 30meters, creating an explsion that spreads about 4 meters in diameter.
Although it is called a Rifle its range would be best utilized by a carbineer.
Ammo: Power cell
Source: Jedi Knight, Jedi Academy
This weapon should proabably be Energy based damage, but from the weapons description, you could make an argument for Stun or Blast damage.

I think a cold carbine would be interesting. Not many cold weapons about. But then i have no clue about resists to cold.
If the sg-82 didn't look so stupid i would suggest a cutdown one of those.

I would say that your first weapon...if I recall properly the one you are talking about... would be a good Blast damage weapon, as that particular weapon was firing metal rods at hypersonic velocities (kinda like an automatic rail gun) the resulting concussive impact could be qualified as blast.
Oh, and don't mind the "Forum Regulators", they come off as overbearing and rude at times, but they really do mean well and help Nova keep this forum as one of the most productive and b*tch-free out of them all. You will be hard pressed to find another combat forum... especially one that is for a class with as many legit complaints as this one, stay this civil and orderly, and they do help to steer the masses that way... They just don't have what you call the "people" skills
