I see SOJ is our guy, but why hasn't he posted a new week's worth of issues?

Are you waiting for a personal invitation SOJ?

Welcome...and get to work!!! LOL

We're all wondering what the scoop is on those issues that have been posted for 2 months now. It doesn't look like we're getting much love on this upcoming patch either, aside from being able to spam chargeshot again every 5 secs (which I hope also restores the actionshot timer)...but that isn't near good enough.

As far as I can tell, nothing is being changed about the knockdown/posture downtimer. It's still 30 seconds. The 5 second fix noted in the list of patches probably refers to the delay added to the target when affected by a knockdown. (the delay used to be 10-15 seconds long before the infamous KD nerf) Seems some old notes were added to the list of "fixes" the big patch is supposed to have.

As for SOJ, he's been posting almost every day and there hasn't been any new issues that has come up since all current Carbineer problems have already been addressed a long, long time ago. And has still not been fixed. I hear, this stuff has been broken since beta. I don't know what you're expecting from him, since he's just a correspondent, from what he's already given us.

Vevy you are treating SOJ like a Sony employee. He is a player like you and me who volunteered to communicate with the dev team for us. He is not getting paid.

He does a lot of work for the Carbineer profession and is a good correspondent.

I'm not saying he isn't a good one, but in my other profession threads the correspondants don't stop posting their issues just because it was already covered 2 months ago.

2 months is a LONG time to go without posting any kind of an update. It wouldn't surprise me at all if the devs look at it the same way I do. If a 2 month old thread is just gonna sit there with no real push, then they'll get around to it whenever. People in the other threads are fighting a heck of alot harder to get their profs fixed and they may not be getting 100% satisfaction but they're getting little bits here and there.

We're not getting any love at all and it makes one ask why. Really this whole carbineer forum seems like a big waste to me. There's little worth coming in here to read. It just feels too passive to me and the devs have already proven on enough occasions that they tend to lean towards the loudest voices first when it comes to fixes.

Vevy, the responses in those threads are merely to inform SOJ of what we think is important and/or a problem. Since our profession has basically not been altered at all in the last month, there's no need for us to inform him of new issues -- they'll all be the same as before.

Also, don't judge flurries of activity as what's getting the job done. The real action that will get stuff looked at/fixed isn't on the profession boards. The devs can't handle watching all twenty-whatever of the profession boards all the time. No, that's why they created the correspondant program.

The correspondants have their own forum now in which to talk directly to the Devs. This is where the nitty-gritty action is. This is where attention gets got, and solutions get discussed. SOJ's job is to relay our concerns to that board in an organized fashion. Since we haven't been further broken (aside from the KD nerf, which he's aware of) since his week 2 issues thread (ie, they didn't put in any fixes that broke something else, and they certainly didn't fix everything on the list so we have to go fishing for new things to complain about), he already knows all the stuff that's broken and needs work.

Now, if you're concerned that the relative importance of issues has changed since then, that's why SOJ posted the newest sticky thread.

Finally, let me point out that SOJ has also been spending a lot of time on TC in order to compare and better appreciate the difference between pure carbineer and bh/carbineer hybrid.

So if the correspondents have their own direct line to the devs, and this is where the "nitty-gritty" action ges done, why aren't we seeing any action? You see, it's the same exact question just worded a different way. And you're not entirely correct about the loudest voices not getting first attention. Umm can you say Commando...Creature Handler...oh and AT-ST...

As for the new sticky thread, that's a joke...how many different ways can we restate the same problems over and over. If SOJ can't get the devs attention on anything, then why can't he post a thread saying "Hey this is what was discussed in our little private discussion with the devs...but we're not getting any love most likely for this reason"

That's considerably better than hearing nothing at all or hearing another "Tell me AGAIN what your top 10 issues are even though I already know".
